Upon harvesting a pumpkin, tomato, green pepper, or zucchini, and using a kitchen knife, hunting knife, hachet, ice axe, or splitting axe, there is no context for cutting seeds out of the vegetable. Hopefully I'm doing this wrong!

I can also confirm the issue. In the newest update food is very rare. The result is you need to start farming and using alternative methods of food gathering. Without the possibillity to get seeds from your harvest, it makes farming very difficult because seeds are also very rare.

I can confirm and after eating half a tent full of bell pepper and tomatoes I ended up stuffed but seemed to gain no energy?

It seems the knifes are broken, since you can not cut the seeds out of vegetables or meat out of corpses. Futhermore you loose significant amounts of food when opening a cann with a knife of in this patch ( from 50% to 75% will be wasted, before it was ~ 5% wasted)

Can confirm, I was not able to cut out seeds from pumpkins or tomatoes. Tried with kitchen and hunting knife.
