Phalanx added a comment to T59995: Flashlights of other players and AI are incredibly weak.

Added a couple screenshots taken today to further demonstrate this issue.

The brighter one is where I'm shining my light on the bunker, the other one "Non Client Flashlight" is my buddy shining his light on the same place, from the same distance. The difference is obvious, and should be fixed.

They should let you bind all of the stance modifier keys individually, just like stance up/down.
Also, tapping the stance modifier key should put you into the nearest standard position.

I'd like to be able to change sidestep right to be CTRL + E rather than D, and vice versa. But I can't make those changes atm from the current menu options.

*EDIT* - In fact looking at the controls now, I can't even find the "Down" binding under infantry controls, I can see Up ...

You can spin on your ass in this position - mouse sensitivity doesn't lower and there's no animation for turning, what's up with that? You can also spam the stances below and above this one with no delay, I think this should be changed to avoid awkward animations.

I'm with OP on this. The quality of this stance is far below that of the other stances available in terms of aesthetics & accompanying animations.

Most issues like this are closed by a mod as non-issue, others are left as feature requests.

It's up to them what they do with it, I was just questioning how the ticket was handled by the dev.

I hate advertising my ticket but the only reason I do in tickets like this is because I suggest tweaks to the system that highlights these sorts of problems and could potentially eliminate confusion over how the player controls.

@Fireball: "probably some tweaking should be done so it doesn't completely stop but drops the player automatically to tactical walk or similar."

  • I think this is all players are suggesting in regards to this issue and similar. It seems the most logical and fluid thing to do. More on this can be found in my ticket.

It gets stuck on all the time for me, I didn't think it was linked to what button you have it bound to, I thought it was just how the key action was designed -> which was to toggle the player's movement to the 'Turbo' state.

The only thing is when a player stops moving or runs out of stamina, the 'Turbo' state is not switched off automatically.

As a result I have to manually press it again whenever I stop moving or am fatigued, just to tell the game to switch off 'Turbo' mode. An unnecessary extra keypress in my opinion, seeing as pressing it doesn't provide any visual feedback. (I use Turbo (toggle))

This is some sort of "action backlog" that accumulates by rapidly lowering / raising your weapon. Even when you do it once while walking forward your character will continue a few paces before stopping.

Ruins the fluidity of movement.

Agreed this looks awful.

This must be one of the reasons why most objects look like they're hovering over the ground..

No-brainer, this needs a fix. The AI don't care about doors - They just walk through the walls if you hide in a building long enough!
