Like I posted above:
There is TDM and DM, so why not making a LMS?
differences of tdm and dm are minor so why not to make an additional minor changed gamemode?
That would not be much work but would describe the servers mission more precisely before the player joins.
Sometimes I like to play tdm, but when I feel to join tdm I mostly do never want to play lms.

This request is about only adding a new String to the gamebrowser that would increase the players gamesearch noticeable.

For example:
Facts:

  • There are 1000 Servers online atm
  • 100 Servers are dm
  • you search for lms
  • 5 servers are lms

Result would be you join a server, notice it is not lms and leave. Join next server and so on and on...

What is your argument against this request? You do not want the missions as descriptive as possible?

In my own opinion: If you want marked enemies, buy Battlefield 4.
If BIS introduces marking I will stop playing ARMA.

For arma 2 i liked a lot of mods, but some friends didnt want to play with me on my local server because of that plenty mods they had to install. Give us an ability like mods.ext where all mods are listed with relative link where they are located and which are needed.

I am studying informatics.
I never marked this request as engine tweak. It is a feature request.
Scripts have the disadvantage, that each mission has to include them (work for missionmakers) and addons have the disadvantage that each client needs them before they can connect to a server. Unless BIS have no feature that autoinstalls addons it is really complicated if you have a few mods required.
If you engage me in personal I will report you. You are free to argument about this request.

Maybe the example with drinking tea was bad. I only want to make clean that it should work automatically.

Please tell me how I can play wasteland or dayz with such a function without editing the server.
Btw.: you know the currently most played mod in arma 2? dayz!
And I think in arma 3 are also a lot of wasteland servers...
I agree in normal arma it would be stupid to use it. Same as detonate a sachel in front of you. But it is possible.

may be this solves the problem:
PORT FORWARDING (ArmA3) (Firewalls)

ArmA3 uses the same default ports as ArmA2 with the addition of 2 steam ports. So if you intend running A2 and A3 servers on the same machine, you need to edit the ports used
Default ports are all UDP and as follows

    2302 (Arma3 Game port)
    2303 (Server reporting)
    2305 (Von)
    8766 (Steam port)
    27016 (Steam query port)
