This has been fixed (dev branch, not sure about stable 1.50) but there is another problem - the co pilot now wears a crew helmet, and the left door gunner still wears a pilot helmet.

Yes it has been fixed. I believe it showed up when you implemented guns to not be bullet proof (I think) and was fixed the day after.
Even vehicle sounds seem muffled....

No, none at all. And you are right, I did notice that some walls had no effect at all. Also if you look at the second screenshot you will see one of the walls that dirt comes out of

Umm, it should use the white-looking particle effect like the rest of the building does. and I fail to believe that a white cool-looking building like that would have interior walls made out of dirt.

I tried this on the latest dev-branch (1.39.129084) and it seems to be fixed. But when I heal someone while holding no weapons at all, the healing is instantaneous and there is no animation
Since BI has done fluent animations with bipods, surely this wouldn't be such a big task!
On the workshop mission 'DISARMAMENT', AI squadmates will not leave the building you spawn in on dev branch.
Also if you just spawn about 10 AI groups and make them walk through a town, at least a few AI will get stuck
