I tried the work around and it didn't work and when the game is started it looks like it is zoomed in almost all the way and I cant get to the settings to change it in game

Also had this issue- existed in various areas of the map and in all standing, crouching and prone positions. Zoomed in fully and minimally- doesn't matter. Can view side to side (only when free view is off)- but no vertical movement is possible.

In particular- this was the scope that had 2x - 8x zoom functions. The scope I was using was not pristine- I think it was damaged. Not sure what effect this would have if any.

Hi Andy

I tried that now but its still not working.

Steam still want to update the files and when i press Start Game i get the updating window from steam and after 5 sec it disappear.

:( i have no idea what else i could try

0.52 Stable it's also bugged, I edited the Game Version to 0.52 Stable

It's not always easy when English isn't your main Language;-)

i cant remember if my last LRS on 0.52 was damaged or in good condition. when i looked thru it was pristine. i think it was damaged

Hey Zyryanoff and thank you for your report!
As mist3r stated, this is caused by a bug with the optic itself, which always appears pristine (#19200). Other optics which work in this regard will have their damaged textures shown properly when held in hands.

THe LRS looks always pristine, even when attached on the rifle, or did they fix this in 0.52?

Please rest assured, the devs are and will continuously be working together with BE throughout the development process of the game in order to deal with hackers/cheaters. Please keep in mind during development, that as with all other parts of the game, the current iteration of the security measures is not final. The subject has been touched upon in the past several status reports so it is by no means abandoned by the devs.

yesterday i was in the ATC at NWAF. Standing behind the staircase, then suddenly one hit, black screen, and the "You are dead" message.
My friend was on the upper level, and we both died at the same time.

We killed many teleport hackers, bug-users, glitchers but i can't do anything about an Instant kill hack.

It was a low-pop server with around 8 people on (night time server)...
Until this date, most of the hackers were on the coast, around the pvp zones, but they are going more inland recently...

The west of the map was a "safe" part of Chernarus...

If the devs will include the suicide animation, hackers will use that against players for sure...

If they can access your inventory, can force feed you and take bullets out of your weapon, it will be a piece of cake to kill them with that.

you forgot: There is no bind/link between the ingame Name and the steam-name or id.
