I also experience this when I use the head torch. It isn't just silly. The light doesn't work in buildings with low ceilings because the light floats above it. Also the light being so high above your head is like a massive beacon for any bandits in the area. I think this issue is actually bad enough to be a detriment to players experience of night time in DayZ, which is bad considering players are experiencing the new night for the first time right now.

I hope this is useful. I recently crashed but was not able to catch the code in time. I ran whocrashed, following pe3pa's advice, and these are the results.

Same here with the entire system crash and blue screen of death (windows 10 equivalent screen). Also DayZ looks like its uninstalled from Steam but the files are still present in the steamapps folder. You need to redownload again
I'll update with messages from BSOD next time
I think I managed to find the dump file for the crash. This is what windows has to say about the error. I found this in windows event viewer. I hope this is the right error message. I'll know for sure when it crashes again.
Couldn't make out any error message. I get a generic blue screen memory crash. It's only up for a few seconds. I will try to take a picture next time it happens.

Why doesn't this have a higher priority? The game is no fun if your items keep getting reset. My char got wiped over an hour ago and I still can't bring myself to farm it back knowing that my items will probably vanish again. I want to just run to the nearest military base and gear back up, but I can't even motivate myself to find food/drink for the journey. Just miserable. The amount of time i'd need to sink back into this game to get my items back, with the risk that they could suddenly vanish seemingly without reason... not happening.
