Commander smoke missing and/or not visible in interface (locality issue?)

Description

It's been there since as long as I can remember.
I hear players of our and other servers complaining about it on daily basis.

No matter which mission or sever.
No matter who's the owner of the vehicle.
No matter if spawned localy or on server itself.

It concerns the following ground vehicles, that have commander seat and where commader is the one, who has smoke:

  • I buy a AA/APC/Tank and get in first as commander - smoke is visually available and I can fire it.
  • I buy a AA/APC/Tank and get in second as commander, after another player, who's already inside as driver/gunner/passanger - smoke isn't visually available and I can't fire it.
  • I buy a AA/APC/Tank and get in second as commander, after another player, who's already inside as passanger - smoke isn't visually available, but I can fire it.
  • As soon as the other player gets out from driver/gunner, but I stay inside as commander - smoke gets instanty visually available and I can fire it.
  • As soon as the other player gets out from passanger, but I stay inside as commander - smoke gets instantly visually available and I still can fire it.
  • I buy a AA/APC/Tank, I join the other player's group (he's the leader) and I get in first as commander - smoke is visually available and I can fire it.
  • I buy a AA/APC/Tank, I join the other player's group (he's the leader) and I get in second as comander, after the other player, who's already inside as driver/gunner - smoke isn't visually available and I can't fire it.

Same applies if I redo the same steps but on the tank he will buy and not me (03:39-06:55 in the video)
Same applies if I redo the same steps but on the tank I spawn via console ( createVehicle ["O_MBT_02_cannon_F", getPos player, [], 0, "None"]; ) (07:06-09:40 in the video)

So the only way to 100% get smoke as commander is:

  • to be the only player inside the AA/APC/Tank and occupy commander seat
  • to be the first player inside the AA/APC/Tank and occupy commander seat
  • to be group leader and then you can get inside the AA/APC/Tank even after other player(s) and you will still have smoke
  • to have a group leader outside the AA/APC/Tank, so none of players inside the AA/APC/Tank have leadership
Additional Information

Please make the following to work:

  • so that the player, who gets inside as commander (when there is already a player as driver/gunner), has smoke visually available and can fire it, even if he's not the first to get inside (even if he's ungrouped or isn't leader)
  • so that the player, who gets inside as commander (when there is already a player as passanger), has smoke visually available, even if he's not the first to get inside (even if he's ungrouped or isn't leader)

This is a won’t fix. The player entering commander turret while leader is the drive will not be set as effective commander by default and so the option to use counter measures is not available. You can force this player to become effective commander by globally executing

tank setEffectiveCommander commander tank
