As I mentioned I tried manipulating the tent several times.
That included moving the tent, several times, just like you described.
So that isn't a fix/workaround for the issue we experienced.
I've had this issue too.
Found someone elses tent. Emptied it and made sure there weren't any "hidden" items in it.
Didn't find any "pack" option whatsoever, only "Inspect and "Close/Open".
Tried manipulating the tent in all the ways I could come up with, nothing changed.
Returned to the same spot a day later and then I could pack it.
This was on a private hive.
Volume based would be ideal.
But I think weight and volume is pretty closely related.
To be fair the devs have balanced it well, except for .22LR, .45ACP and .308 atm.

You should gradually go from damp, wet, soaked, depending on how heavy it rains and how long you stay in it.

I also would like to add a craftable rope/bow string to the list.
Nettles + knife = nettle rope/bow string.
Leather/pelt + knife = x number of ropes.
The dream of spawning with nothing, finding an axe and a knife, running out into the wild and surviving off the land is almost complete.
The weapon sling and duct tape ideas are great.
To make it more realistic one should NEED to craft or find a weapon sling to be able to put the gun on your back. No sling = gun on the ground, to do other things.
It's called;

There you can change lots of things that are not present in the in-game menu.
I do agree with you that some of those options should be ingame.

Agreed.
Same as with the 5Rnd Clip for the mosin. It should put 5 rounds into the internal magazine and then return, empty, to your inventory or thrown on the ground.
They both act as magazines atm, would be nice to see a change.
Edit: Forgot to mention the 10Rnd Clip for the SKS.
Sounds like a great idea with lots of potential.
If they ever add some form of agriculture, excrement would be perfect to speed things up/give higher agricultural output. Just to name one of the many benefits of this wonderful, totally natural and appropriate, mechanic for a survival game.
I've experienced this creepy sound too.
I thought it could be an easter egg, as it started happening right as I had stopped by the Blair Witch-easter egg. Tried following the sound as it seemed to come from a distance and constantly reappearing. Turning my character seemed to activate it. Possibly triggering some kind of bugged area sound-loop? Went away as I made my way thru Chernarus.
This has happened to me once.
Logged out with gear in a safe place.
Might have been killed during the process, but highly unlikely.
Joined back in and spawned "naked", healthy, hydrated and energized just in front of the bridge by Vybor.
Thought "Items: tweaked shotguns dispersions and recoils" would've fixed the issue.
Still fires single pellet (should be 9) in 0.48.124737.
Does anyone actually know what caused this?
The shotgun dispersion worked perfectly fine in .43 or earlier.
The only thing wrong, not considering some issues with shells not ejecting, was that the muzzle velocity was ~900m/s instead of ~400m/s.
The current buckshot acts just like the slug shells should do.
