DayZ performance could be really great if you give us more optimizations to decrease stutter, and increase FPS.
Honestly, my PC isn't the greatest. But I've read threads about people playing on high-end PCs still having performance issues as well.
Give us the ability to configure our settings to increase performance to our liking. We need to be able to remove and, or decrease some of the elaborate details in the environment that aren't necessary.

"My Documents\Dayz\Dayz.cfg"
"My Documents\Dayz\Name.DayZProfile"
There you can change lots of things that are not present in the in-game menu.
I do agree with you that some of those options should be ingame.
Hello there,
optimization takes place in beta or very late alpha. It makes no sense to optimize the game while new features are being added. If the game runs too poorly for your liking, I have to suggest you take a break from it and come back later in development.
