I noticed (Stable branch, 1.64) that in the case of the m320, it can move up 1 lod when it's stuck on the lowest, if you drop it and move far away then come back. But after scrolling through the VA and coming back, it was on the lowest lod again. So lod order is being randomly reversed on some weapons, some of the time?

Can't close this, but it seems fixed now in RC + dev builds - doesn't insta wreck aircraft, disables car engines (didn't before), and kills soliders wearing helmets. So, totally fixed; nice work!

I'd say it's a bug since it does insane damage to aircraft only - armoured infantry and vehicles seem mostly unperturbed by it, but as you say, any aircraft is dead within 10 shots.

This also happens with CAR-95, (tested with (Black) version, assuming it happens to all) must be missing reload prone anim

+1 you should be able to refer to the weapon's memory points (perhaps using some prefix, or memory point names should have a rethink (to avoid cases where you'd have two "eye" memory points for example) but that could just come down to intelligent use of naming conventions).
Otherwise as Alwarren said having "eye" memorypoint in the scope isn't really feasible; the current implementation should be improved.
Just from hearing about it I didn't think it would be THAT bad, but having since seen it in game... this new animation is just gumby. Change it back.
To be clear, it is not distance that is the problem, but angle. When you're getting cracks over your head, but the shot is actually 50 degrees away from you, it gets quite confusing.
