In Miscreated they have a System with Slots AND weight.
But for the gameplay the DayZ-System makes more fun. In the end, both are games and ist not the realism so the fun should be in the Focus.

This is certainly a good suggestion, though system will be almost like in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (and it is quite interesting and realistic), but I doubt that developers will go to such a serious change.

But we've been hearing about getting an engine overhaul and haven't seen much of it yet. It's still awkward frame stuttery most of the time when you're in towns. All the objects in towns _already_ influence our FPS pretty badly. What do you plan to do about it?

Fires and smoke? It's not like the apocalypse has come just now. Most of the cars are already heavily rusted, so they stand there for a very long time already.

But aside of that, keep in mind that every complex object influences your FPS. So if the roads were just filled with cars and wrecks up to the horizon, it might influence your FPS pretty badly.

I think they should have A chance of spawning with a mag with some ammo in it or with full ammo

I have to agree on this one. A mag is a standard component of a gun and usually comes with the weapon. It is also not unreasonable to believe that a gun/mag is loaded with ammunition sometimes (by the fictional pre-owner). This applies to all kinds of guns though, so give the assault rifles 1 attached mag as well.

Delete all battleye folders in your app folder "C:users\<username>\appdata\local\dayz\battleye" and in your steam folder "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\DayZ\BattlEye". Then create new battleye folders there and copy the battleye.dll which you can download from battleye.com: http://battleye.com/download.html

Feedback after testing(?):

Most interessting.
You test it?
I join yesterday evening and get "Testing 1 2 3" during connect.
On Persistance on as well as on off.
So i disconnect each time immediately and reconnect and my char was there.
Only on the first time i connect to the Server with this Setting. After that i could Change it as i want and do not get this massage again.

I tried connecting to your server a couple of times, but I never got the "Testing 1 2 3" message (since I didn't connect right after restart) or the character reset. The team is still working on the character reset problems, and in that regard we'll see if we can reproduce the issue. As for now, I'll close the ticket since it seems to be quite similar to the "connecting to a restarted server resets the character" issue.

one reconnect, one connect to a running other Server... all instant and without moving. We know this bug ;)
And ist not ONLY the Switch of persistance on/off. If was only after the first time of BEC install+Update as i wrote and then the Switch.

For me its gone because the items are deleted but other Player could interessted it for there char on the maintance on wendsday.

Never ever seen this problem before. Ive installed and uninstalled persistence many times and nobody has ever had a character wipe before.

Something tells me it was the server connecting to the hive error somehow.

Normally its a 15 sec to 90 sec hive connection. So I am thinking it didn't connect to the hive at all and caused a character wipe.

Did you guys exit the game without moving and restart the server?

Just to make sure; the problem is related to a server where you just installed BEC and set persistence to "on"?

If so, would it be possible for you to note down your server information here please (ip + port)? Then I can log on with my character and see if I get a reset as well.

yes, its no Problem. If i'm at home, i will post it here in a private massage.
!But, please do it on the Maintance on Wendsday or my team will get very very very angry about me and we lost half of the Team because the hackers. They stop playing the game. Okay? !

The steps in Detail was:
Wrote the fragnet-Support that i don't find the Point BEC Update.
The Support answer me and tells me it was not installed and they have done it.
I connect to the Server, my char was there with persistance off (our default).
I disconnected, stop the Server and BEC and look, what jobs BEC have. Then i disable the BEC (stop the Service) and start the Server with "persistance on".
Then, half of your Team how join to the Server (the other half was not on thair pc) were wiped.
We disconnected, join another Server, Change Settings... the wipe was final.
After we changed the Settings and restarts the Server some times, other Players were not wiped.
So only the Player how connect to the Server on that moment were wiped. After the first install of BEC and "persistance on" for the first time after BEC Update.

2. for the issue above, contact your ISP - I doubt Bohemia will be able to help you with your internet connection

We are aware of all these issues as they have been reported before and every single one is being worked on.
The voicechat issue seems like it could indeed be caused by your internet connection rather than the game itself, but we have currently been looking into similar problems - hopefully one of the fixes will help you as well.

would it be possible to try a couple possible workarounds?

• Verify the game data (Rightclick on DayZ in Steam Library - Properties - Local files - Verify integrity of game cache)
• Reinstall the game
• Launch both Steam and DayZ as administrator
• Try launching the game with resolution parameters changed as described here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/203970-resolution-problems-read-here-before-posting/ . Also try changing the windowed parameter value to 1 in the same way.
• Make sure your drivers, especially graphics card are up to date

Also, it would be appreciated if you could attach your DxDiag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DxDiag) report to the ticket.

Please try out the following:

Add -port=25007 into your DayZ launch options on one of the PC's. To do this, you can right click on DayZ in Steam --> Properties --> Set Launch Options and enter "-port=25007" (without the quotation marks).

Alternatively, if you have access to the router settings and upnp is turned on, you can try turning it off, restarting the router then trying again.

as already mentioned above, this is neither a bug nor a feature request. Please contact the server provider for this issue. The provider might be mentioned in the server name.

first of all:
itzero is right, reprot it to the server hoster, this is the bug tracker and abusive server admins are a nuissance, but not a bug

secondly, all public hive servers are public, so "no join", "private" etc. only means, some idiots that can't read the rules(or don't care) pay for the server. it does not mean, that they have the right to do such things

nerobp:

For Public hive severs:
"You may not change the following variables on your server :

    Password 
    Player count beyond 40, and below 30. 
    Message of the day to include slander, racism, sexism, or any general hate speak. 
    Signature Verification (Must always be enabled) 
    Server name must not contain any terms or phrases of the themes below:

    - Player Versus Environment only 
          - Player will be kicked 
          - Server somehow has modified loot spawns, or other game data 
          - Server is private 
          - Server is “not operating properly” 
          - Impersonating official DayZ servers (Stable or Experimental)
          - Hatespeak / Defamation of any person, place, or company

You may not perform the following actions on your server :

    Restart server to farm loot 
    Restart server to protect your character integrity after dying 
    Kick/Ban players without just cause
    Lock / Password the server"

For private shards:
"You may perform the following actions on your server :

    Restart server
    Kick players
    Ban players
    Lock/Unlock Server
    View BEC Logs
    Turn the server off"

Rules are pretty clear here, so even if you pay 60€/month for a public hive server, you have to stick with the rules (you agree to when rening the server from your hoster).
If you want to kick everyone but your friends, you have to rent a private shard, but you propably don't want to, as you like to gear up on a closed server and go pvp on a public server, don't you?

So... they can't lock the Server.
If you have no own Server you can't know how this works.
So first of all: Admins have no real rights. But they have to pay ALOT of monay for the Server.
Second: You can only lock a Server INGAME. So after a restart, there are Player using dayz-commander or whatever and see witch Server was restarted. They Join at the same time the admin join. If the admin waits the spawn-time AND the please wait, there are Player on the Server. Then, the admin lock the Server (if he can. Its up to the Provider of the Server if you can) and kick all Player. There is NO OTHER way.

So, if he don't lock the Server its not good, but okay. But if you don't like it and join a Server where outside stands "no join" you do not have to wonder yourself if he kicks you. Of pay for your own monay a Server (60€+ each month).

And that there are free Server for you is only because there are some People how pay for there privet Server. If no one will pay for it the prtovider will not open public free Server. (They have to make monay and not only costs)

Report the server via mail, and use the following mail adresses if you're unsure who the GSP is

A public server cant be handled however they want, server admins still have a responsibility to the hosting rules, if they brake the rules, they'll receive a warning and at last their service may be cancelled.
