Description

There is no opportunity to expect bad behavior of the tank.
There is no opportunity to control bad behavior of the tank.
The problem causes the slow speed of the movement of the Tank, forward and back.
The problem causes fast rotation of the Tank on a vertical axis.
The problem causes a sharp throw of the Tank on a big distance.
Problem suddenly appears. Problem suddenly disappears.

Consequences:

  • then you can lose the car, blows against collisions with trees or a wall
  • In fight you can be turned
  • Keeping advantageous position, can throw out you, loss of advantageous position
  • Temporary loss of control of situation and positioning concerning the opponent

The problem does the Tank not suitable for performance of tasks in game. High degree to lose the Tank in not fighting conditions. High degree to lose the Tank in fight, for the reasons, not dependent on your actions.

Steps To Reproduce

It is difficult to make recommendations on reproduction.
There is everything suddenly. There are no repetitions in emergence of an event.
I can stop, make a shot. A step backwards 3-4 meters (in shelter) a trunk recharge. Step forward, shot.
I can receive blow on the second step, I can on the fifth.
I can lose maneuverability.
At some point you will not go fast. The machine will not develop speed. It suddenly disappears, just as it appeared.
It may simply disappear, or can give a kick forward, or will rotate the car.
There is no regularity of an event.

There is one regularity - reaction of the tank to contact with textures. That it is possible to see as it works at video.

Something is similar to it occurs between the tank and a surface of a landscape.

On similar videos, all try to cause effect of a throw of the heavy tank forcibly. It occurs in game unexpectedly where there is no such driving, on the direct movement, went stopped \shot \gas of coupling and a throw . It is difficult to catch it in game for record.
Sometimes these throws come to an end with explosion of the heavy tank.

Like i said please provide information if it happens if you drive without shift.

Throws occur on the firm road, on sidewalks in the city.
Seldom on soil.
Very seldom happens, on direct to the course, the heavy tank loses speed. As though the road is covered with glue. The movement in a half is less than slow course.
Once was a case, Slamer could move forward only and back, turns to the left in the right didn't work.
After a throw all blocking disappear.
There was a case, I in 40 minutes of game lost three tanks.

  • I turned over, I couldn't shoot, I was open to attack of the opponent.
  • I turned over, I fell between two houses, the tank exploded.
  • It is thrown out forward, on an open position, when my trunk a recharge. I received a shell.

There was at me a version today that it can do is connected with simultaneous pressing the W+S\W+A\W+D keys. I started checking, again a matter of luck. Hard it turned out to receive accident, it is a lot of movements.
I began to give teams to the driver of AI.
From seven short tests (1-2 minutes), eight accidents (7 throws +1-are blocked the movement).

In this video (a mark of time of 1.04 minutes - short breakthrough in left, pasted as a magnet) the tank lost control.
I sat down the driver, on management there is no movement of the tank. I switched off the engine, included the engine, the tank returned mobility.

P.S.
In some fragments of video, it is possible to notice as the tank does short breakthroughs. Very probably on falling of FPS, but FPS I was stable 60-70. These breakthroughs, beginning, accident harbinger, before a big throw It almost always so begins.

Some problem of interaction between textures of a surface of a landscape and tracks of the tank. Such, critical interaction sometimes (it is very rare 1:100) happens, with objects which are located on a landscape surface.
Never this problem was with wheel cars.

Very probably on that sometimes the tank interacts with soil. It looks as if it started sinking in soil. Why such interaction begins. Emergence of traces on soil can, the texture of a trace, causes interaction.

Results are very similar. When Arma3 release took place, very often there was one similar problem. It happened to me in one of missions in the company. Mission was loaded, all cars into missions, to a wheel axis, sank in texture of soil. At that time, cars didn't turn over, cars couldn't move, and couldn't rise from soil.
For the first year of release in Arma3 it occurred often. Now too, such can sometimes occur, but it is very rare (1 case on 1000).
For this reason I assume that there are in this ticket general reasons.

I can't expect, what textures of the tank and the soil start interacting, and I can't predict when there is a rupture of their interaction.

Hi, @Lex I´ve read all this discussion.
I see the problem with the accidental triggering of this bug that is very odd. I know, You said that is very difficult to reproduce this bug but without 100% repro we won´t be able to reproduce it again a potentially fix it. It seems, the bug nas very much conditions hidden somewhere in the scripts. If you will be able to make repetable repro we can go further.

Hi @Alwin I can't allow to 100% to expect a problem event. There are no actions to bypass a problem. It how to foretell where in the sky the lightning during a thunder-storm will appear.
Cars on wheels - don't have this problem.
On video steps in a chat - gave teams for AI of the driver. On each episode about 1 minute, I received somersaults or a throw.

@Alwin please take this issue much attention! This is a shameful problem that breaks the tank gameplay. Engine of Tracked vehicles should be reviewed thoroughly. For this reason, tanks roll over and jump.

This bug seems to be very tricky. I´ve tried to reproduce it in 1.66/1.67 and no result. I'll be trying further.

@Alwin Unfortunately I have no way to reproduce the problem.
As seems to me, there is unpredictable. If you play in a tank gameplay 10-20 minutes you will face this. Put in a map tank platoon (you are the commander) and try to command subordinates and to attack the enemy. In this case, sooner or later you will soon face a problem

The problem well is reproduced in airfield of Tanoa, as on my video. The problem well is reproduced on the tank of Qom.
Try to make it, as on my video. Just tried it on 1.66.
Several options of a problem:

  • The tank has got stuck. Doesn't move a little. There are no actions on teams. Has sat down the driver, couldn't shift the tank, in any direction. The rumble of the motor, a wheel turn, there is no movement.

In the DEV version there are good changes. The nature of the problem has changed. If this happens, then this is a very short and smooth attack in the direction of moving the tank. But it became hard to reproduce, very rarely.

Jumping tanks... I hope that the output of DLC Tanks the @BIS, will end this extremely unpleasant problem thoroughly.
