Description

To submit a report, click on the star in the top right corner of the page and select "New DayZ Xbox Bug Report" or "New DayZ Xbox Private Bug Report" (if you are handling sensitive information)

DayZ is a gritty, authentic, open-world survival horror hybrid-MMO game, in which players follow a single goal: to survive in the harsh post-apocalyptic landscape as long as they can. Players can live through powerful events and emotions arising from the ever-evolving emergent gameplay.

This space is used to report issues from the Xbox version of DayZ standalone.

Create a new issue and clearly label it as a crash in the title. For example:

"Game Crash - Dropping a protector case crashes the game"

Next, provide insight into how you got your game to crash. Include as much information about what you were doing around the time the game crashed. Every little detail can help us fix the problem. Remember to mention whether this happens on the stable or experimental branch of the game.

GOOD:
"The game crashed when I dropped a protector case on the ground while playing on an experimental server. I had the protector case in my backpack and drag and dropped it into the vicinity window. The case contained a canteen and a pack of rice. I have tried this several times and it happens every time"

BAD:
"Game crashed when I dropped a protector case"

Include steps to reproduce if you think that they are necessary and aren't obvious enough from the description. Always describe reproduction step by step.

Open inventory
Place the protector case in your backpack
Drag and drop it into the vicinity tab
Game Crashes
Don't forget to include the game's version (can be found in the main menu).

This is the lack of support I keep mentioning. I messaged them with my problem and they have replied with an excuse rather than a solution. Plus they've added on a bit which I didn't query. It's not good enough. Their servers were not able to keep up with the demand so we were having problems. Or, they were messing with something. Either way, to suggest I need to do more restarts is absurd. I didn't need to do more restarts before the problem, and anyhow, I do the required 6 a day, as they suggest, already.

As a community, we feel we should have the chance to work with a company that provides stable servers, and if they do go wrong, work hard to correct it. If they keep going wrong, we should be able to move to a provider that can meet our requirements. Currently, we just have to accept it and come to you to get help. We shouldn't be treated as cash cows.

Can you please provide the current server IP?

I agree with the above ☝🏼 Easy but fantastic changes to implement. DayZ is unique in the fact that people form bonds and survive together often. Other than armbands it is difficult to differentiate between friends or foes. These changes would be great!

Glad we finally got some official comment on this. It’s reassuring to know it’s still being looked at. We understand it’s not as simple as just pressing a button, but for an issue as fundamentally game-breaking as this there needs to be something done, even if only temporary whilst you work on a more effective permanent solution.

Also the ability to turn my ball cap backwards. Boom so easy, no new items just changed the orientation of the hat on the player.

I posted comments about this during the stream yesterday every 2 minutes hoping to get a reaction. Got nothing. And I’m assuming they either don’t know or don’t care at this point. I haven’t bothered playing the game for the last few months because of this very issue. It’s completely ruined the game for me. 😞

Would be great if we could have some official recognition from Geez & Co acknowledging how game-breaking this is and a commitment to resolve it.

Hello again.
Our team was unable to find anything unusual, the resource consumption is okay and everything seems fine.
If the server performance icon appears, we suggest to check custom mission scripts. The problem might lie in the server modifications.

Nope, that means it's around 12:30 pm Mexico Time, but I think the server might be on a different clock

A bit late! But you can use the chainsaw to get all the way through silently. Break the bottom wall, then the wire on the fence, and then the lower frame. Gotta make sure you have an electrical repair kit or two if you do it all with the chainsaw though.

I wish they could do this on official servers for those who dupe, whitewall, skywalk or any other blatant exploits. It has got to the point that 90% of pvp encounters someone is either logging in and out white walling glitching or using some exploit to get an upper hand. Also the amount of duper and duped kits is insane i killed a player with a field bag with just 60 rd mags for m4 and Lar with 20 mags. Just running around in fresh spawn area killing everyone.

I had issues when server was highly populated and slow log update, got in contact with nitrado support and they did the classic “backend changes”

After this I got new IP, so I guess it’s a new host machine!
But now the server is completely unplayable, massive desync, yellow and red icon. Even with only 10 players online. Well now the logs are faster.

I’ve messaged them in the ticket w/o response. Last message from them was the 2/4-24
My community is raging and I’m losing members every day due to this issue.

These issues are killing a 3-year-old server. I've noticed the CPU Usage is almost at 100%. This can't be a configuration problem because I've had the same setup for months. Even after wiping on Friday, the problems are still there. Plus, I know of other servers experiencing the same issues.

DayZ, please, any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

It's getting worse, please help! 🙏

Is it okay for you if the server gets moved to a different machine? Ofcourse this will lead to change of an IP and the players will have to unfavorite and favorite the server again.
