Usually snipers go in teams of 2 ... spotter(with a rifle) and the sniper with the big gun. I think the best you can do is get a semi automatic pistol to use for close encounters. But i don't think that carrying an assault rifle + sniper rifle would be the best way to go
Not something you would do every day, but vote up and cheers for you for discovering it.
Think it has more to do with
Looking up = balance
Looking down = not shooting your legs while you are moving
(Just tested it in the game and this is what i think about it)
Tracer rounds already exist in many of the magazines(at least the ones that have them in real life)
I agree with almost everything you said. But there are some circumstances where small arms fire can light up a vehicle.
Normal bullets and ap bullets have close to 0 chance to do that but the tracer rounds do have a slightly higher chance to do that. Shooting the fuel tank with a tracer round will have let's say 30% chance of lighting it up.
I would agree with Traxus, the only thing that needs to be added is the wind effect on a bullet.

Don't disagree with adding a knife so that you can use in extreme cases where you find yourself without any ammo.
BUT ! I wouldn't like to hear people crying and complaining that the game AI is too hard because they can't go in the middle of a military camp and try to knife every soldier without getting shot in the first 2-3 minutes.
Think it would be a good idea.
Also ... saying: "Mod it" or "Add it yourself" wouldn't be to fair to be honest, because it wouldn't be the same quality as the models made by the game designer.
I agree and i would add if you deploy the LMG, you should be restricted from moving, but have a 60-70 degree angle of rotating the weapon without moving the body of the soldier.
