Yes this is really annoying. I currently developed a full mission with all my own audio recording for my mission partner. But for some reason, he starts talking from time to time with a second voice to tell me “Area Clear”. I just want him to shut up. I just want to disable the Audio automatic chat …
I understand that a lot of stuff cannot be done without a lot of effort. But on this, I know it can be done with a simple IF condition. It is annoying … this is one of the reason why I do not release that mission. I cannot stand my mission partner to chat all the time over the character voice I already recorded for him.
I would really appreciate a scripting command like …
Soldier1 AITalk false
I wonder if I am mistaken, but if I use sideradio, the wave2lip mouth animation does not seems to work.
Example:
If I do, with the correct description.ext, .ogg and .lip file.
Chief say “STR_HELLO_MESSAGE”
I will see his mouth move without any issue.
But if I do
Chief sideradio “STR_HELLO_MESSAGE”
I will hear the message clearly but his mouth does not move.
Am I doing something wrong?
I am pretty sure you will agree that the lip effect should be played while using sideradio as well. It is quite weird to hear a soldier talking on the radio, but with no lips movement.
It's an immersion killer!

Yes it does happen to me when I am editing the mission. If I play the mission, stop it, and go back in preview ... I get that thing.
It is also at night.
Note that I have that thing only since the last upgrade. It was not like that before.
For sure the explosion must be redone. The feeling provided by explosions can make day and night on how the player will see the game.
I too think that the explosions shown in the real message ARE what we would like to see in the vanilla version. I still cannot believe that IED effect and the tank cooking one!!!
You could have as well in the action menu ...lets say you installed 3 bombs.
- Touch Off Bomb1
- touch Off Bomb2
- Touch Off Bomb3
I am also voting on this, it really limits the game to have to touch off all the bombs at the same time. I do not feel that it will be that tough to fix...
- IMPORTANT ***
I just noticed that it is the case only if there is big waves (My setting is at Wave 90). If you do the call close to shore it will be alright. If you do it far to from the shore (where the waves are big) ... then the boat will appear at the wrong position.
This one is very nice also ...

Yeah I know its weird. At least on the water if you do...
myBoat domove getmarkerpos "targetPos" the boat always move something like 25 meters from the location. I have hard time figuring out what it the issue here.
- Create a new mission set at noon, sunny sky.
- Create a Alpha Radio trigger with the "On Act Code" hint "Overcast 1";skipTime -24; 86400 setOvercast 0.75; skipTime 24;
- Start the preview. Its beautiful outside.
- Activate the trigger with 0-0-1.
- Now you will notice that the time in darker, BUT THERE ARE NOT A SINGLE CLOUD IN THE SKY.
- If you start the mission with an overcast of 75 directly, you will get a lot of cloud in the sky, but not if you change the overcast value during the game.
I have attached my little mission if you want to test it out yourself.
Here is the link to the quick mission.

The skiptime trick seems to work with the setrain, setwind and setfog ... but not setovercast.
RRRR That just make impossible to create a single mission that is executed over few days (with cutscenes behind the stages). You always end up with the same overcast. That is a serious deal killer for immersion mission maker :(

Yeah the squealing is popping here and there for nothing. You can remove that, I am pretty sure no one will complaint.
