I've played the series from original OFP back in 2001 and I don't agree with cashxx. Arma 3 changed I agree but in a good way and deffinately not became arcade'y. You have more control over your soldier, improved physics etc. You will be able to import Arma 2 contents into this release so don't despair and have faith.
I confirm this, but to trigger it you don't have expend your ammo before throwing out your weapons, you can trigger it by opening your inventory, discarding your rifle, closing your inventory, the diver will autamtically equip his sidearm, open inventory, discard sidearm, and voila. It seems like it triggers when the diver throws away his sidearm as last weapon.

You can always walk tactically with the gun by your cheek. I like the animation with walking with the rifle put down.
There is no PIP when you are outside of vehicle (tested on AH-9).
As BlackLord mentioned it in the beginning doing it the "right" way (reflecting the actual world in contrast to displaying constant point-of-view image) would be performance consuming, so the devs had to make some compromise.
The mirrors in Arma works as PIP (Picture in picture) it seems as it's a view from static point on the vehicle projected on a surface as a texture and not a relfection of the world (the same goes for displays in vehicles for example), and it is "calibrated" for the driver, so your point of view will not change the point of view projected on the mirror - i.e. the mirror will display the same view for driver and any passenger in the car or even when viewing from outside - but correct me if I'm wrong.
I cofirm this issue, added screenshots comparing AH-9 and Ka-60 in flight.

So what it's an Alpha, the bugtracker is for this kind of things to report after all. The developers have a lot to fix - these reports help them remember and prioritize bugs/non-existing features. And after all they have QA team for free working on reporting all the bugs for them ;)
Well the more lift airfoil generate the more drag it generates, thus while the lift is increased so is the torque (because of increased drag), so it does depend on the torque - it's just the matter of perspective.
If by convex he means coning of the rotor (bending blades upwards) it's normal state and it depends on rotor torque - it's most apparent during takeoff right before liftoff or when applying high amount of collective input.
Zimms is right, and as mewle said the blades should turn into blur as in Ka-60 (IIRC). But for some reason they don't.
