I agree with this because even if parachutes are added they'll likely take up a backpack slot. So fast roping would give an alternative quick deploy option if some players want to be able to take a backpack with them instead of a parachute. /upvoted
Place an invisible cube infront of the AI so when the cube collides with the door it can read the selected door's state "open", "closed", "locked", "wedged(blue)", "wedged(red)", etc so the AI can take the appropriate action. If the wedge is the same as it's team, have the AI look for an alternative entrance or move on. If it's wedged by other team then have it breach the door.
If the door is locked have it pick the lock then relock the door after it's squad has entered the building. As for AI setting the door states in single player or coop the doors could be preset or AI could be scripted to use locks/wedges at certain waypoints.
Is it supposed to cover the taskbar and everything? If so using the word "window" in "Fullscreen window" mode seems a bit misleading, it makes it sound like it should be a maximized version or something.
"Fullscreen window" is going to a fullscreen w/o a window around it, it looks identical to "Fullscreen" mode.
I finally got VAS to work, but I still think it needs to be more user friendly(for hosting) and the only way to do that is to have it built in. That being said the VAS does everything I need it to and I definately think this or an equivalent feature should be built into the game.
The virtual ammobox gui looks decent, but the mod looks complicated to set up server side and I doubt new or inexperienced players would even bother or understand how to set it up to host with. I'm not saying the virtual ammobox couldn't work, but it would have to be built into the game's mission editor to be practical for average users.
Voted up, I'm having the same issue.
Adding another control scheme would make using the helicopters more accessible to new players that might not think to change it key by key.
this also happens with custom loadouts regaurdless of class, same thing happens with chem lights too, and i've noticed flares dont seem to work at all even after dropping and picking back up
Only thing keeping me from completely moving to linux is it's current lack of high-end games(which I hope changes), it would be great to see arma 3 on linux if possible /upvoted
I agree with extending the active range, but I've not noticed the parallax effect except for very few places on land. Are they planning to add it to more objects like brick houses?
Voted up, normal mapping and parallax mapping would be great graphical features to add to this game, I think it would be nice to see them applied to things like roads, trees, rocks, and buildings.
