duplicate of #5186
I don't understand why someone would have more directional awareness IRL than in-game. Could you please justify ?
This may be added in the lowest difficulty setting, but not above. You don't magically know your exact orientation IRL.
After this happened to me, I attempted it and although it is not "easy", it is doable.
But I won't pretend I can do it as easily as the AI, and it is really hard when the helicopter is not moving towards you.
Duplicate of #1183 . Note that the steps to reproduce are better in this instance.
Note that issue 4184 is not related, unfortunate copy/paste.

Could not reproduce in dev version, so I assume it is fixed.
[my settings: high/very high]
Could reproduce, but I'd like to add some corrections to the original report:
I was able to get some light from:
- The Hunter's lights. The intensity seems weaker than usual though (may not be true).
- The ambient light at the top of the lighthouse (not the spot, the light that lighten the lighthouse top. Could not compare to the normal intensity.
- Gunshots.
I was not able to see light from:
- The environment lights(streetlights for example).
- The lighthouse main light (the spot on the landscape).
Using the menu, you can barely see the landscape (while it is completely black otherwise).
The sky unlike the landscape is not completely black, and appears to be normal.
The light itself appear normally (a white sprite over the image, or in the case of the lighthouse the beams in the air).
Upvotes only signify the interest of the community for the issue, and should *not* be used for priority (except for issues in the "crash" category, which should all be high anyway), as long as features are posted on the same issue tracker as bugs.
For example http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=2510 , while I (and the community) agree that it would be interesting, there are many issues (crashes, sound engine, flight model, IA bugs...) that should be addressed before even considering implementing this feature.
A way that might be more efficient would be for BI to provide clear guidelines on the correct use of priority and severity (game breaking, feature, minor glitch...).
Another way would be to remove the priority altogether, replacing it by the severity, and let the developers set the priority on their internal bug tracker when the issue is accepted.
By the way (shameless self promotion), this issue is trying to address the multiple reports problem http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=4373

Please favor upvoting this one.
It also occurs with:
- Side lights of the Marshall
- Front row of lights of the Ifrit
- Side lights of the Strider
I did not test the helicopters.
