The Memory allocator is being changed in the next version.
There are a lot of articles in the web, which explain how to change them. However, i would suggest to be patient.

Stay tuned :)

Hatchet_Harry added a comment to T83219: Update: 1.48 fps dropping to 1-5 fps at times un playable.

Hey guys, our players will rush tomorrow kavalla.
We are collecting the following logs:

  • server
  • player with best frames
  • player with worst frames
  • player with 2nd worst frames

They try to catch some peaks/slowdowns
If you wish special configurations: Please inform me directly on orga@armajunkies.de

We have to this issue on our servers too.
Our player numbers are increasing (Before: No Slots from 16:00 to 00:00, 1.48 no slots from 14:00 to the morning).

It must be a general issue. Our wasteland version is modded to control view distances, maybe thats a reason why we have this player peak.
But our players are complaining too: In Cities we they have laggs, fps issues and slowdowns.

My Admins are currently delivering serverside stats.
We have single players with normal frames. Would it help BI if we upload positive / negative logs while they are in the same area?

Please confirm if needed

Adam, Thanks for taking care. There are still some Items, which are not being categorized completely (like structures, buildings), but this matches not this ticket.
I try to show up with a modified version of bis_fnc_itemsType, if i get a widely usable idea.

BIS_fnc_itemType is doing the job (delivered with Virtual Arsenal -> marskmen)
For me its fine, if Karel maintains it :D

I think Battleeye and the way how it is being implemented will change the whole thing in a great way.
Thank you for taking care and for your continous efforts in preventing bad guys from kicking in our hosters nuts. :-)

Stay tuned

Hatchet_Harry added a comment to T72876: Respawn event never triggers on the server!.

It was a very good suggestion by KK. Hopefully you didnt forget it =)
2013-09-15 10:37 - Ran into the same problem.
Date: 16.05.2015

Thanks KK for adding it to the Wiki =)

However. Please Please do it
a) Local execution were it has been added
b) If it is being added in initPlayerServer.sqf - Please keep it local on the server

Reason:
In conjunction with the end game content: I am able to add and remove respawns for the players when they are needed. I would like to keep as much as possible on the server.

As workaround: I will send a dummy publicVariable from client to server, which is just starting the serverside respawn calculations. The server adds the things. The client waits until the server updates a blocking variable to true on the client. The client will remain in a uiSleep, until the stopper is being set to true.
The stopper will be placed in the onPlayerRespawn.sqf

It should solve it.

Hatchet_Harry added a comment to T72007: HandleDamage event handler has <Null-Object> as source/shooter parameter.

Hey BI, this bug is still existing and really annoying.
Date created: 2013-08-30 04:29
Today i wondered again why the first damage event is "Null", after logging them down.

Please help us!! :-)
