Sorry to bring up a very old thread, but if anybody has a solution/fix to this problem it would be greatly appreciated. I've also always had this issue over multiple OS's, hardware, etc.

*Update regarding Direct VoN Audio*

@ProfessionalSite4 Direct chat volume is controlled with the "Effects" slider, and the "VON" slider.
At least it always has been, I can't test right now but I'll double check it hasn't been affected by recent changes ASAP.

After todays update (2.02.147284) this issue appears to be fixed in the normal / default branch.
Should be set to Resolved.

@dedmen My testing was with the default branch (Not Dev or Profiling).

@dedmen Fix appears to have not worked.

Sorry for the redundant message, but; What does the "Feedback" status designate here?
Tried to find info looking around the feedback tracker but couldn't. Would have DM'ed you but that's not an option.

Updated the main description because anybody who read it (but not the "Additional Information" section) would be unaware of how to find a temporary solution. Probably should have changed this on the last update but didn't consider it.

Updated the main ticket to include what @Terox found, as well as a temporary fix because people are still checking for updates & no actual solution has been found yet.

Switched severity back from "Minor" to "Major" because many people are complaining about this issue, and multiple people had requested so.
Originally switched to "Minor" because it's not a game-breaking bug, nevertheless it is driving countless people insane so it seemed warranted.

@dedmen This is why I put a suggestion at the end of my post, suggesting that they; Add a section to this page that describes how to file a bug report. Considering the page is labelled "How to report in-game bug" it's pretty sad that it doesn't explain how to do so whatsoever...
