ChrisB added a comment to T66566: AI knows the enemy position at all times, no matter what.

AI, the most Important part of this series, it needs to be great not just good, certainly not bad, as it is at the moment.

ChrisB added a comment to T64011: Suppression effect for players.

There should be reaction to suppression by human and ai alike. For this the human effect, it should be included in the game but also allow players who don’t want it to turn it off i.e. TPWC & GL4. For me it’s a big part of a fire-fight, if you see ai ignoring suppression and just keep coming forward at you when they are certain to die, it just lacking in any realism.

This is true of the human reaction, give effects as we are sat in front of a screen rather than there, effects are needed to, in a way, reduce your ability to control totally the situation, screen shake or darkening or whatever is chosen, just keeps the player on their toes. Its very easy to sit in a chair playing saying suppression heightens reactions IRL, certainly it focuses the mind, but it also causes severe restrictions to your response, in the game this can only be portrayed in some visual way for it to be fair.

But also allow the ability to turn down or off these effects, for the players who don’t want it, as said.

ChrisB added a comment to T63862: Arma 3 - AI Supression.

Suppression in the past has been provided by a number of methods; SLX, GL4, TPW_AI_Sup. With Arma 3 I can see perhaps TPW coming across but the rest won’t ever make it across, I don’t think. To have this as part of the standard in-game AI is very important to add realism to the game-play.

I’ve used all the ones named above, they all work well, so putting it in-game as standard should not be too hard to do..

ChrisB added a comment to T63309: Massive stutter and RPT spam when running over dirt terrain without grass..

There is something wrong with this surface type. It may only be higher fps players that notice or have the issue. But its there and needs addressing.
From the screenshots leon86 put a link to clearly shows a dramatic frame rate drop. I don't get the stutter as bad as leon86 but there is a slow down in the game.
