Having a similar issue with DayZ stuttering in towns - to a far higher degree, under Windows 10, compared to Windows 7. Moved DayZ to an SSD and the stuttering appeared to lessen significantly.

I've had this happen many times. Usually I just exit immediately and try logging on again, and I get my character back. Except late last week it didnt work. I was on a "persistence" server (asking for it). The server died randomly (no message received) and that was the end of that character. Tried relogging many times to no avail. I'm continuing to consistently loose gear when the persistence servers die.
I have placed numerous single tents in various obscure, and remote locations, and a high percentage get stolen very quickly. Putting all 4 tents together makes them much easier to spot. Ta
I've attached a screen shot showing that I was able to put 2 tents in a hunter back pack. Put that back pack in your tent!
Similar experience. I found camp with 4 tents, Stole all of them. Put them all on different servers, and all those servers went down.

More shots. I'm pretty good at finding peoples camps. They all have the same issue. Glitch Abuse? - Priority 1 game breaking bug.....

Installed an SSD with a fresh copy of Windows 7 (was using vista). Game not crashed after a few hours.
Added the following to Launch options, from Steam. Ran in windowed mode for a couple of hours. Had one crash. May help some ppl.
-nosplash -skipintro -noPause -window -noborder
