Look at the gun model it self, when the weapon is on single fire, the fire selector switch on the 3D model of the weapon is set at the rapid fire position, and when the weapon is on rapid fire the fire selector switch shows as being set as single fire.

Hm, thats weird.

Try to verify integrity of cache in STEAM and see if that fixes the problem.

I'm sorry for being so blatant about it, I've encountered this in many missions myself and everytime it had been a mission issue. Can't figure out how it's even possible in any other way but I do believe you.

Try verify and repair, then if it works or not, update with a note.

Maybe you could make a forum post about it with solution, if someone else is having the same problem.

Glad it worked out for you.

This is a mission maker issue, caused by lack of scripts on the mission in question and not an issue with the game itself.

Note that this changes from mission to mission, and thus is not a problem with ARMA.

@Nighthood, @Stephen, Unzipped:

from wikipedia: ""Only some of them permit women to fill active combat roles, these are: New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Germany, Norway, Israel, Serbia, Sweden and Switzerland."

That's 12 countries where women serve in combat roles.

I am impressed by the maturity shown in this thread.

For the love of god... Comparing female soliders to child soliders is simply disqusting.

And again, why are so many people from the US so focused on their own country? In other countries who have female soldiers, they must meet the same physical requirements as men do.

This thread resembles an argument between children. The second one side realizes that their arguments have been debunked, they start name calling the oposing side.

Are we really that immature? Is this the best we can do? Is this representative for the community, or do people opt out of the debate due to the fact that they dread it?

You are really giving gamers a bad name. I am also against the feature, but I am litterarly shocked by how people choose to express themselves. I actually thought that the ARMA community was better than this.... The gaming culture have been accused of being hostile towards women, you are not helping!

I would love to see women in the game, but I realize that this is a huge effort to make. I would never wan't to see them tacked on, lacking proper animations and skeletons. They require alot of money to make, and that is the reason I am against it, said money is better spent elsewhere.

Still people make the claim that women are not serving in combat roles.

People, the world is bigger than the united states of America:

From the wikipedia article on women in armed forces:

"Only some of them permit women to fill active combat roles, these are: New Zealand, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Italy, Germany, Norway, Israel, Serbia, Sweden and Switzerland."

Now count how many of those countries that are members of NATO?

Women serve...

We who would like to see it in game would like it exactly due to the realism aspect. To state that a lack of female soliders is a realism feature is simply not true. If you actually believe that no female combatants is realistic, you are living in an alternate reality. It is factually true, women DO serve in every role of combat.

http://www.sbs.com.au/news/article/1591778/Path-open-for-women-to-join-special-forces-units

I served as an engineer, in the same camp as the second battalion of the norwegian army. They had women. We had women. They had female officers, we had female officers. There is no gender limitation on special forces in Norway. If you can meet the physical requirements, you can be a spec ops.

We contribute to NATO with both special forces and regular soldiers. A portion of them are women.

And I repeat myself once more... Do I think this is a pressing issue? No, I don't. I don't think it's important enough right now, as it will take up alot of development time better spent on other things.

That being said, I make my voice heard due to the insane arguments given. The realism argument is nothing but chauvinistic.

Stop claiming women can't serve. It's been proven, they can serve, and they are serving. They are serving in combat roles, and are intended for combat. That is the reality. If you don't like it, then fine. But stop stating that women don't serve in combat roles, because they do. Stop saying it's unrealistic that they will serve, because they allready do.

And for the love of god, stop portraying women as weak, sobbing and scared. Their not.

Norway has a conscript army, and there is a debate going on right now wether or not it should be mandatory for both genders. It will be voted over in the parlament quite soon.

Women can serve in all roles in the Norwegian forces, and that includes special forces. The physical requirements is equal for both genders.

And to put this into perspective. I served myself in the enginer company of the norwegian forces. We had about 20% women in my squad, whom all was stronger and more capable than me. Two of them where becomming officers.

Women serve in combat roles in alot of countries, and some countries like norway has no gender limitation on any role in their armed forces. I don't see how this will ever go back to being male exclusive, and I think more countries will follow, including the US.

So the realism argument is simply bullshit. Women serve today in all military roles. They don't in the US, but I am allmost certain they will. It's more realistic than not to have female soliders in the game.

The question is the priority. If we are to have women, they need to be done well... No reskin of male soliders, but all with new animations and so forth.

Is that worth the time investing in it? Well, that is something we can debate. It's certainly not on top of the list, as there are more pressing issues right now... But I would love to see female characters in game.

Out of respect of the fine women who serve in armed forces around the world!

Had the same issue, forgot to get the reports. I had to revert the mission to fix this. Reverting did fix the issue, so it's obvious it had something to do with the save prosess.

My issue appaired in the air showcase.
