Description

Hidden objects can be damaged using explosives which causes them to become visible as ruins.

  2. Place explosives on the ground where the building used to be
  3. Blow up the explosives
  4. Ruin will spawn

This is very annoying when using heavy weapons or explosives.

This has been in the game for a while as this was happening to me over a year ago. Hopefully, this gets fixed sooner rather than later.

Your description is not entirely correct. The Hidden object does not become visible.
When a building get's damaged the undamages model get's moved a couple hundred meters under the ground and a new damaged one is spawned in it's place.
So in your case. You now have an invisible building under the ground. And the new Damaged one was spawned in it's place and is not hidden. Arma should check the isHidden flag when spawing the damaged model.

This should be fixed in the next proper update of the game which should be when Tac-Ops will be released.
