Well, I think it is, because being instantly DQ'ed from a drill I spent 10 minutes in because I pressed a key I forgot I mustn't press (without warning!) is annoying.
Just saw this is a dupe of http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=12981 , which has been open since 8/13 :/
That will ruin the entire simulator? I highly doubt that.
Other than that: Fully geared soldiers don't jump. What about civilians? What about a helicopter pilot? What about a guy without backpack, just with rifle and vest? Should those not be able to jump because the average soldier can't jump because his backpack is too heavy?
Just see this scenario: You are running away from whatever. You have to be really fast. Then there is that low fence. Now you have to stop to do that slow paced animation?
upvoted. as already pointed out, bunnyhopping can be easily prevented and there were some (few) situations where I would have needed that feature.
could also be combined with the feature to climb onto higher objects that has been upvoted to the top 10.

I found the SOLUTION: In the FreeTrack program folder, create a new file "TrackIRHaiku" with the content:
[Haiku]
DllSignature=precise head tracking
put your head into the game
now go look around
Copyright EyeControl Technologies
AppSignature=hardware camera
software processing data
track user movement
Copyright EyeControl Technologies
(the weppage uses the format code from the ini, i uploaded the correct one)
After that, both Arma 2 and 3 started properly and allowed me to customize the FreeTrack and TrackIR interfaces. (I think the first time I had to copy the ini into the Arma 2 folder, not sure on this as now it works using only the one in the FreeTrack folder)
I tried uninstalling FreeTrack, and Arma starts properly again. So it's definitely a conflict between Arma and FreeTrack.
Actually, for me it crashes every time, also when freetrack is closed.
Edit: Arma 2 OA is crashing, too, so it probably is a conflict with freetrack
@AD2001: you can disable note notifications in general
but rendering the outside of the scope will prevent things like moving your head while sighted, so that wouldnt be ideal either...
Yes, i would love that feature, but if it is implemented using PiP, make it optional. Aiming down the sights is one of the key gameplay elements and if aiming down the sights would kill your fps as much as PiP screens do, it would make the game unplayable.
No, it may not be closed, because there are 3d scopes (which look great, btw), but the outside of the scope shouldn't zoom in with the scoped area.
BIS seem to have accepted that feature:
"The Beta will enhance certain weapon optics with a much nicer-looking 3D version. We are aware of a few known issues with this technique, but feel the benefits outweigh these massively. Your reaction to seeing them proves this!"
(from http://alpha.arma3.com/sitrep-00014)
For me, it crashed at the logo screen after i installed freetrack. after creating a file freetrack was missing, it worked for me again (issue # 3241)
