Yes, that would be another cool feature!
I think ArmA is mainly ment to be played in 1st person, so I think this is a relatively small issue. And even in 3rd person, you would normally use your sights to aim. The thing you're talking about probably is the indication than there is an object in your shooting line, so maybe a wall that reaches to the tip of your barrel.
Using only one pip source sounds like a good idea...if it imporves performance over using two sources, I'm ok with having it look buggy sometimes. There are many other things in ArmA that affect performance negatively, we don't need one more of them.
Hey, you misunderstood me. I'm ok with upgrading it, my PC can run it smooth and pretty. But I want to allow my friends etc. to play the game as well, maybe make it so that you can deicde how many pip sources you want, then everyone is happy. That would be the same as with your texture example. People with bad pcs can use quake textures, we can use crysis (or almost crysis) textures.
Yes, and for the digital deluxe issue, they could just make it so that it only works for non-BI maps, so if you're trying to do it on Altis or Stratis or some Map they add via an Addon, it will either do nothing or say "This is only available in Digital Deluxe Edition, sorry!".
On the other hand, they could just implement it, because the Digital Dexule Edition maps will be posted by a Digital Deluxe Owner on some forums on release date.
As all the others said, this is a war simulator, there is no corssbow in war. I like it in Crysis and BF, but when I like to play really tactical and realistic, I don't want anyone to run around with these things. If we had crossbow, we could also have defibrillators, nanosuits and maybe some sort of repair torch to bring any vehicle back to 100% health immediately...That's not what ArmA stands for.

The medical system would be nice, but first we need bipods. Also, that would be a completely different topic. But why goddamn can't those devs just take a look at their fucking feedback tracker and implement those bipods? I feel like talking to a stone wall! That's not what we, your "awesome community" as you sometimes say, expect from our not so awesome developer team! We paid for the alpha, gave our money without even knowing what we bought, we gave tons of feedback, were your free QA team, love you regardless of any bad moves you did in the past.
And you add flaps sounds to jets.
THANKS BIS, that's like the most wanted feature for years!!!!
Yeah, there must be someone at BIS who had really bad personal experience with bipods :D Why do they just ignore this? I don't image it to be such a challenging task for them, after all they're pretty good programmers I think.
I hope so! There are still tons of issues with ArmA 3 and even though it is the best ArmA yet, they have to do tons of things to convince people coming from other games that this one is great! Things ArmA veterans don't even notice anymore because they realized they would never get fixed.
So once you devs come back from holidays, finish your work on ADAPT and then check the feedback tracker and fix lots of things for like 3 to 5 weeks. WIN can wait until the game gets better...
A good game without a campaign is better than a bad one with a campaign because you can't play it anyways.
Hey, in the dev-Branch they added these amazing rays coming from the sun! Exactly what I was waiting for! Thank you for that!
Yes, but there are sort of rays in ArmA. And I think it would not reduce realism, but it would add a lot atmosphere.
But the problem of the sun being just a white circle is the main part. Hopefully they fix that.
