Yes, the KA60 needs AT LEAST a static boresight crosshair. If the engine allowed it, a boresight cross that was projected on the HMTS when the hud was overlapping the boresight would be great. Even better would be a CCIP but that's probably both outside the capability of the current engine and might effect balance adversely. This is a particular problem if you use TIR.

Edit: The MH-9 is not effected by this.

To be honest they are pretty much the same thing. I'm sure could force something to distinguish if tried hard enough but they are both saying the same thing. The FM stinks:D Probably best to have it under one ticket.

which feels like a bit of a back pedal in saying it might not be default and the stock heli's might not even support the FM.... so the pressure to keep them to their word is probably good.

FM from Take On is coming from everything I have read. Yay! Just not in the alpha yet as there's a bit of work to get it to mesh. [From what I have read] Product of Alpha status.

Certainly hope so as there's a post from one of the devs on the bis forums saying ToH FM would be in A3. I keep reminding myself it's a early alpha:)

@scrim, Many real aircraft have helmet mounted targeting systems that allow pointing the weapon or sensor with the HMTS. That's not modeled in the game however and the KA-60 modeled has a fixed outboard cannon and unguided rockets so nothing to point with the helmet mounted cueing system. The HMCS is a nice thing on it's own but it should integrate a gunsight of some sort that is always aligned with the gun. Or just a static boresight cross that isn't on the HUD.
