1.09.153372 - Magazine Bug (ALL GUNS) CANNOT reload with "r"
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

There is currently a bug with the magazine that is attached to the gun upon logging in. This magazine cannot be swapped for one in the inventory by pressing "r", although it should be possible.

HOWEVER, you can still drag a magazine from the inventory onto the "combine" slot and the magazines will then be swapped as should be.

After doing this once, you can now press "r" to cycle through the magazines until you have reached the "bugged mag" that was attached to the gun when logging in. As soon as this mag is reattached, "r" will not work anymore and you have to do it manually again.

I had this issue too. Sometimes reloading with R can be unresponsive, and you have to retry it a couple of times to get it to work.

I was using the SKS, and I had to hold R two times before it started loading.

I would also like to add that having magazines rotated in the inventory can also cause issues when reloading with the R key (sometimes it simply doesn't work) and along with when server performance is poor.

Hello freerider3434.
Can you please specify the step nr.7 : Fail to successfully use "r", as the bugged magazine is now back in the gun.

What do you mean by "fail to successfully use "r" ?
Do you interrupt the loading in any way or something like that?

Geez

Hello Geez,

step nr.7, like all other steps, is a step necessery to be taken in order to "reproduce" the issue. As stated in the description, it is my observation that the magazine that is attached to the firearm upon logging into the server, is subsequently bugged and not eligible for the reloading mechanism. This "bugged mag" will fail to be reloaded by pressing "r" which is what step nr.7 describes.

Step nr.7 is basically the result of the aforementioned steps. It is the observation that "r" didn't have any effect combined with the explanation that the "bugged mag", which is at this moment attached to the gun, is causing the issue.

Best regards,
Freerider

@Geez

Hello Geez,

this issue is present as of the first 1.10 Experimental build. I will summarize the issue once more in this little update here:

The magazines that are attached to their respective magazine fed firearms get bugged upon logging in. This bug affects the reloading via the "r" key. Pressing and holding "r" to perform a reload while these mags are still attached does not do anything. The magazines can however be removed from the gun or be reloaded via drag and drop. Once the magazine, that was attached to the gun upon logging in is reattached to the gun however, "r" will cease to work as well.

Best regards,
Freerider

PS: I have witnessed this bug for one and the same character. I cannot say, wether my character dying would change anything regarding the issue...
