Happened to me few times already. Usually when switching server or relogging after being AFK. It even happens when logging back to the SAME SERVER.

I just set all my video setting to low and didnt experienced the problem yet. So maybe its somehow connected to video settings. To be more precise i think i changed AntiAliasing ,PostProcess ,Trees&Grass and Texture Quality.

And also i should include DxDiag + "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\" in case it may help to locate and fix the issue.

It was not happening at the release of DayZ. Now its happening very often. Just playing normally and BAM into the desktop no error or anything just the video feed from the game is gone and replaced by the windows desktop. And game is still running and responding. Only thing that remains is to restart game.

Same happened to me. I was in military office building on 2nd floor and suddenly i was dead. No shots fired or zombies nearby just BAM black screen "You are dead" my friend who was outside said that he saw me sprint through the wall from the 2nd floor into my death. It could be connected to some sort of rubberbanding. Never happened to me before. The next day exactly the same thing happened to my friend same building same problem. Ran through the wall from 2nd floor. Problem is that neither of use was running, we were just looting or standing on the 2nd floor.

I hope devs gonna notice this problem and try to fix it.

The bug no longer happens to me. Probably because of the last patch.

Happens to me all the time. I am trying to loot the dead body of a player who i killed in self-defense. And he dissappear while lying dead or unconcious on the ground. VERY ANNOYING ( If player is dead or unconcious his body should remain on the ground until server restarts not when he decides to log off! )

This issues should be fixed with higher priority ,because its pretty upsetting.

Same thing happening to me. And its not latency issue ,because i have 100/100Mbit internet. + I only join on EU servers

It got something to do with video settings. Since i changed everything in video options to LOW the problem does not happen anymore.

So i packed DxDiag + the mentioned folder "C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\DayZ\"
