how so? tent mechanic is actually in place, just replace the model.
apply handcuff mechanics to padlock, and make padlock be attachable to the stash.
modelling would take most of the time i guess. i have no idea how hard it can be to make a model like this - maybe just take the protector case, make it bigger, add new skins, done? would be a start. i also think they can use models from arma 2/3 and rework them with little effort.
sounds simple to me, then again i am no dev, maybe for good reason xD
for some reason it stopped happening for me. my char will still moan when i spawn, like as if something hits me.
but the blurry screen is no more. no idea why though.
you just need to go into video settings and return to game, this will fix the bug.
since 0003419 on the same issue was set as "resolved", i will use this to confirm, i still also have this "bug" - i am not really sure it actually is a bug.
i much rather think it could be an indicator for some kind injury/illness of your character, just that noone seem to know about it...
i think for me, it also started when i was very low on blood (nearly black/white) and got attacked by a zombie. maybe i cought some kind of infection because every time i join the game,i hear a breaking-bone sound, a single groan from my char, and the game goes bloody red for a second, then the vision turns blurry until i open and close video settings. after that, i can play the game as if nothing happened. according to the character window i am healthy...

can not confirm myself, but i've heard the exact same thing from two guys over TS,
both dropped their stuff in the same pond, couldn't access the dropped stuff, but it returned a little while later on.
this exactly cost me my life yesterday.
random guy rushed up on me with the fireaxe in one of the umpteen baracks on the new map.
luckily i was able to escape out of the building, but couldnt switch to my weapon via quickslots for the sad life of me.
i was well armed yet unable to defend against a fireaxe, hilarious.
sometimes it works when you double tap the key, sometimes it works single tab, sometimes it needs a random combination of double tab + single tab, or doesnt work at all :D
most annoying bug so far!
however, i must add that switching between weapons, like firearm/melee to kill zeds, is super awesome and definetly a huge improvement over the awkward way to do it in the mod!! now it just needs to work reliably :))
guess its an engine thing, as it also happened in arma before.
definelty game breaking, as using any light source inside a building will ultimativly expose your position to anyone within view distance.
this is even more of an issue for people like me, who are bound to play on night servers for now. this is, once they finally fix the gamma/brightness cheat.
my theory for regaining consciousness: your bloodlevel needs to reach a certain level to wake you up again.
this would explain why some people wake up on themselves after waiting for an hour (regenerating blood / "healing"), and also why people instant-wake up when getting a transfusion with blood or saline.
In my honest opinion, i think this shouldn't be considered a bug, but a feature - with some issues.
if you fall unconscious in real life, your chances to wake up again on your own, within a few minutes, are not THAT big. for that you'd normally need the help of another person, just as in dayz.
on the other hand, waking up shouldn't be bound to blood level alone, and it should be random - given that a low amount of blood should make it unlikely to wake up, a higher blood level will raise the chance, just like the other way around with falling unconscious. and waking up on your own should also be a random chance, but the chance should only raise with time moving on - starting with 0% from instant to like 75% for 1-2 hours maybe.
if you have a friendly person around, this person would have three options to wake you up:
- slap in the face - if nothing else at hand, low chance to succeed depending on blood level
- shower - if you have water in a bottle, you can use that to spill on the patients face, decent chance to succeed depending on blood level
- chemical wake up remedy thing - in movies, those things they use in military and torture scenes to wake people up - it looks like a huge pill, break it in half and hold it under the persons nose - person will wake up from the smell/fumes/whatever - can't think of a name. should be very rare military/medical equipment, 100% chance to succeed
this should improve the willingness of people to team up - leading to less KoS, leading to more intense gameplay, etc...
another thing came to my mind: anesthesia
bringing another person to unconciousness on purpose, usually to do surgery stuff.
could be knocking the person out with the fist, or use narcotic medical supply.
this could be used instead morphine to treat broken legs, benefit being it doesn't have the HIGH chance to get you addicted, downside being it will take above methods to wake up again.
before i get bashed on from all sides, i want to remind everyone that this game aim's to be hard and unforgiving (assuming that the stance on that didn't chance from mod to game), and thats exactly what i want it to be. if i want an easy game, i go play bf4.
