you just need to go into video settings and return to game, this will fix the bug.

since 0003419 on the same issue was set as "resolved", i will use this to confirm, i still also have this "bug" - i am not really sure it actually is a bug.

i much rather think it could be an indicator for some kind injury/illness of your character, just that noone seem to know about it...

i think for me, it also started when i was very low on blood (nearly black/white) and got attacked by a zombie. maybe i cought some kind of infection because every time i join the game,i hear a breaking-bone sound, a single groan from my char, and the game goes bloody red for a second, then the vision turns blurry until i open and close video settings. after that, i can play the game as if nothing happened. according to the character window i am healthy...

for some reason it stopped happening for me. my char will still moan when i spawn, like as if something hits me.

but the blurry screen is no more. no idea why though.

this indeed seems to be caused by your character being wounded and thus having their vision distorted.
Would it be possible to provide a screenshot so I can make sure that it is indeed the cause?

I have the same issue. I've been attacked by a zombie but not badly (one or two hits). I am, however, healing and probably near to healthy (colourful).

I have to go to menu -> configure -> video settings. This is where the blur goes away.

So either the bug is : I'm wounded and I shouldn't be able to unblur my screen by going to the settings OR I'm fine and the screen shouldn't be blurred.

Same thing happening to me. If i'm "injured" then how come I can just go into the setting, hit "video" and the blurriness goes away? I know i'm not injured anyway. Character menu says everything is ok. No red bars showing so.

This issue has become quite common, we are currently investigating it (#18880).
