I have noticed that the bigger dead zone the slower you turn. If you have 0% you turn in an instant, 50% you turn fast, 60% slower, 70% barely 70+% not at all.
Any change in 1.52? Can't try it myself right now..
I use full deadzone (weapon bounding box) and I can't turn using the mouse when I walk while looking through my sights.
Agree. One of the things OFP did better. Very annoying.
This feature is so ridiculous when you have a TrackIR. You can freely look around with full optic zoom easily pinpointing enemy soldiers and what not.

Found this as I couldn't figure out how to use optics as gunner, I never used a key to do that. So right mouseclick is not good anymore? I guess that is a bug?
The text is there, but there is not much contrast between the highlight and the text making the new key assignment hard to see.

"Need more info": use trackir, play with 100% aiming deadzone (biggest "floating box" for your gun, OFP style). You will notice the problem.
Plenty of youtube links above that shows the problem. A small head movement gives full up or down view.
I'm glad that someone from BI finally is looking into this. I can't enjoy A3 because of this and have stopped playing until it's fixed. I need my fix ;)

Aiming deadzone: turn it fully right (100%)
Use trackir and play.
Still not fixed in 1.03.111011
Right now I can't use my TrackIR as I use 100% deadzone. Done it since 2001...
