Cool. Could be like the helos, when near the ground/shore the wheels comes down. The apc's are amphibious, should be very possible.
Hope they fix this, its really wierd.
This would be very welcomed.
There should be a realistic interior. And the driver should have a PiP screen showung where the gunner is aiming. A forward PiP screen for the driving it self. That's what I think
I think having realistic bullet impact sounds would automaticly give that effect. I know with some sound mods i deff feel suppressed when shot at.
Sounds are the biggest immersion booster to me. One of the biggest problems I have now is that 5.56 assault rifles sound more badass then the 7.62 opfor machinegun. The echo, of allmost all guns, sounds too close and rough, and its the same sound indoor and outdoors.
to say sounds doesn't matter becouse they will never sound 100% real is silly. Sounds can get so much closer to reality and it will matter ALOT.
This is the first arma installment where weapon sounds are even bareable.
And i have faith i the devs, it's looking/sounding like it's going in the right direction i think. I hope they have time to polish.

The Zafir sound is the worst now I think. And the echo of all rifles, doesn't sound good at all. The echo is too loud or close to the source. Explosions are not very impressive either.
Altough vanilla ArmA sounds way better then it ever has, in my opinion, I really hope they have time to improve the sounds significantly. And I hope for a realistic approach. Some weapons like the Blufor standars rifle sounds very distorted also.
I kind of like the sounds of supressed weapons, and I think the pistols sound decent.
Also, distant firefights is hard to hear.
Edit: Just heard LordJarheads work on the Alpha sounds, it's shaping up to be terrific. Hope ArmA dev's are aware of him and maybe get some inspiration. Love the game otherwise so far. Well done.
