Regarding performance:

Regarding gameplay:
Respawning or miraculous healing of broken bones aren't realistic either. If you're seriously wounded but survive, you ain't gonna be on the next mission. You get first aid, and then med-evac and long leave. If there's a way to implement this so that it still somehow serves the gameplay, I'm up for it, but for now there doesn't seem to be any practical reason to do so.

IIRC this has been somewhat an issue with ArmA II as well.
Also anyone who was in the chopper when it went down mysteriously disappear from the wreck.
There's (almost) nothing wrong with the recoil. I had a 7.62 rifle as a service weapon for 9 months and fired from every position regularly. I'd say the recoil while kneeling is a bit off (just a bit too much) but prone and standing are quite close to what it should be.
