I presume they are not present on a dedicated server at all assuming tire marks and footprints are purely visual. Is this correct?

It'd be nice if you could have a target ignored by everyone except a certain unit or group, without having to do ignoreTarget with all the other groups or units that should ignore it.

Revision 150736 now deleteVehicle also works on them

(allMissionObjects "#track") apply {deleteVehicle _x} will now delete all tracks (its not instant, they disappear next simulation cycle)
(allMissionObjects "#mark") apply {deleteVehicle _x} will now delete all footsteps

Aren't vehicle tire marks local and disappear as soon as camera goes away? Unless its different scripted tire marks.

I mean it has to be something practical. The best thing would be if a falling tree fired an event that contained its id so you could do whatever you wanted with it (removing it or even unfalling it), either immediately, or store it in a list to deal with later.
