Probably you have vsync disabled and the gpu is rendering like 100-200 fps in menu, which makes it overheat.
Just enable vsync in options.

You mean they have alot optimizations in changelog, i didn't feel any improvement in terms of performance in Beta.

This is so embarassing, for BiS and moderators.
Just look at this, this doesn't even need any further comment.
Basically the game is broken performance wise, so they are closing every single thread about it probably in fear of losing sales.

Unfortunately i have similiar feelings as white, and closing all threads about performance issues and throwing bans/warning towards users that create them on the forums is just out of my imagination.

I never had issues in editor, so i dont see point testing that.
Also this is Multiplayer focused game.

I'd take it you're alone on the map and probably in Editor?
Now post such results from same location at populated multiplayer server (40+) or with 40+ AI fighting around.

Arma 3 is not single player game and such tests are pointless.

I guess we are not getting any reply / information regarding this issue from a developer any time soon?

It would be relief to know if this is actually being adressed, as it's still not mentioned in latest SITREP or "know isssues" list.

CPU usage 70-80% on all cores, gpu usage 99% and it took me 2minutes to get the result, you can easily expect 99% gpu usage and about 90% cpu usage across all cores in certain situations
Oh and the game is not even in Alpha yet, and the same apply for most games out there.

Some developer answer here would be really appreciated i guess... We dont need ETA's etc. just simple ackowledgement because if someone looks there http://alpha.arma3.com/sitrep-001 one could think Arma3 has no performance issues.

Also would be nice to add this issue in http://alpha.arma3.com/known-issues

For now, there is no single developer reply here, and it's probably 1 of the biggest threads on Arma3 feedback tracker and it's kinda troubling.

Anyway i still have faith, as the game is amazing and it keeps me entertained even with 15-20 fps.. (but over time it's tiresome / frustrating)

Do you even realize that AMD GPU's cannot be used for Physx?
Also AFAIK in Arma3 all kind of Physx is calculated by CPU (even if you have Nvidia GPU)

Such reports are pointless, for us it works fine too in certain scenarios.
Try to testing it in Multiplayer wits lots of players / ai or the helicopter showcase mission.
And you dont have AMD CPU.

Maybe it's issue with Physx since AMD CPU's are weaker and if you have AMD GPU they also have to calculate physx.
Is there any way to turn off physx to test this?
