There is no option other than USB for me and the sample rate is locked. It honestly sounds like when a sound echos it gets stuck in a loop of echoing over and over. The ambient rain sound in the ATC tower for the airfield goes haywire. CPU stops responding properly thus causing the freezing. I'll try and grab a video of the issue if that helps. Not sure how well that will pan out with the way the CPU locks up during this. In case I can't get a recording I'll include a screen grab of what my CPU Usage History looks like in Task manager. It's pretty obvious when I enter the building and everything goes wrong.

The top floor doesn't have that indoor echo/reverb effect that the floor below does.

@RiseAxelrod If you're using a USB-headset, try unplugging the two 3.5mm jack-cables (red and green) and plug them directly into the computer without the USB-dongle. This will unfortunately downgrade both the audio and especially the microphone quality, but the issue should be gone. I'm glad to hear that the issue is not as persistent for you, but if the problem gets worse somehow, this should fix the issue. Not the best option (in my opinion), but it is at least an option.

It feels like I'm crashing in about 60-70% of the buildings I go into. I will get frozen for about a second or more, then be able to move for a second over and over. I'm also running on an AMD FX-6300 so it may be that. My headset is a Logitech G930 and I experience the issue on wireless and wired. Hoping there is a fix soon, this makes the game very hard to play.

Have you tried changing the sample rate in the playback devices properties to see if it has any effect on the issue? If you right click the headphones in windows playback devices list, right click and select "configure speakers", are the audio channels set to "Stereo"? (If the option is present).
