It shouldn't be continuous loop like it is and it also sounds like a voice of a teen, not like adult man.

moans are way too often. an occasional would be okay.

And not random, but connected to some action that is aggrevating the wound. Like changing stance or after running.

At least make it so the moaning only occurs when your HP is below the point where you are able to heal yourself. I usually just kill myself (no matter how good of gear I have) just to get rid of the constant moaning.

This will maybe be changed later in the dev process. Otherwise I'm just waiting for ACE. They never let me down!

When patching oneself up without being a medic (think its up to 75%ish) the moaning should calm down a bit but still be there. Right now though people sounds like constant porn stars around you. :)

Small issue again. Im sure it gets attention down the road.

Can't wait for the female soldiers to be added, and to hear their moaning. ;-)

also, the moaning sound stays after respawn, so if u die a couple of times, and use respawn, you get added sounds, and get em all the time

yeah the moaning should discribe better how badly someones hurt, there needs to be more variaty as far as moaning sound tracks and it should only be loud when someone really needs help badly otherwise saying this as a medic its annoying to have someone moaning and you cant stop the moaning cus its not bad enough but its loud and annoying

I think it's quite evident, most guys don't moan, but cuss loudly when injured. And the longer the pain persists, the more we just grin and bear it, and further ignore the injury.

Moaning is something a young child performs when they don't want to do something.

This is just temporarily so they can focus more on the important stuff.
(A developer said that in one of the showcase videos)

Keep the moaning for the sake of realism (whether or not the sounds are changed) but I agree that it shouldn't be as frequent.

It's really starting to bug me, and the moaning might strongly urge a lot of young boys to become gay.

Shrugs. You might laugh at this, but it sounds like I'm listening to a pornographic movie at times.

Seems like you are giving away your position with all that groaning. I agree swearing with acute increase in pain maybe, but that's what morphine is for - to shut you up.

Anyways, ditto on the morphine. Most guys I know use a few choice words and, at most, initial moaning in agony and then shut up and grimace while grabbing themselves. I've never experience loosing a limb or walking around with my guts in my hands, but have can testify to some similar injuries.

As I think of it, I think the intent of the moaning is to signal to people with med kits or medics, they need healing. Because in real life, people don't walk around with icons above their heads stating they need healing, hugging or kisses. Girls being the likely exception to this.

I guess it would be more realistic if they replaced much of the moaning with limping or grabbing oneself as an indicating factor.

Thats not how it works...believe it or not pain and pleasure can sound very much similar, quite like laughing and crying.

Agreed with the intent on the sound, I mean hell people need indicators (be it visual or audio) for all sorts of things nowadays (my favorite is the "hey dipshit you're being shot! blood screen)...I'd be more for limping or some kind of awkward sway since when you are hurt you don't walk correctly and generally hold the injured spot.

I'd rather have the visual indication, which is quite nice and lose the moaning all together. It should be no more than once per minute at the very least.

Its a cheap and lazy effect that adds little but annoyance to the game.

This problem is why I signed up to the feedback tracker. Once you're wounded you have to spend the next few hours listening to moaning and grunting. Better to get rid of it unless you're about to die.

Or the easier approach I take, just restart the whole freakin mission to get back to full health.

OMFG. Already 2018 soon and nothing on this issue. Even mods. Fуск this game, I can not play and listen to this shiт. When a character gets a bullet, I want him to die, just to shut up. Why not just make the indicator and turn off this crap?

It is now 2022 and this maddening issue with the of the injury/fatigue system has still not been fixed.
I'm not complaining about the wounding system as it works now; I'm not even complaining about the character moaning and groaning when overloaded and fatigued. I'm only complaining about the sound itself not being an option that can be turned on or off.
This constant moaning and groaning happen continually during the whole playing session. When you've been killed and re-spawn, or re-start from a previous save, the character still keeps moaning and groaning constantly even when not injured, not overloaded and even not moving ! and after a few hours of been continually subjected to it, it becomes a nuisance to the point that one wants to quit playing the game.
Ideally, the way the sound works should be entirely redone. This should not be a constantly playing loop , but should be connected to what the player is doing (not random, but connected to some action that is aggravating the wound, like changing stance or when moving while injured).

Even more, there should be two different set of sounds:

one set of sound for the moaning and groaning of the injured state of the player's character (a sound that would be able to better carry the meaning of someone suffering by adding a note of anguish, desperation and fear) not a sound reminiscent of a young nubile playing with his private parts.

one set of sound for the fatigue system. Not moaning and groaning like a porn-star performing poorly, but panting and straining like someone fatigued.

The issue of the sound is of two nature: it is at the same time unconvincing because of poor acting (or bad direction) from the comedian doing the voice (groaning and panting sounding like someone jerking and carrying neither the feel of someone being wounded and feeling anguish, despair and fear and neither the feel of someone fatigued, out of breath and straining under a load), and also way too automatic like a loop playing randomly and unrelated to what the avatar is doing.

If you don't want to redo all this, which is most probably the case, then simply reduce the frequency and amount of moaning by 90%; or failing that and/or if you still believe your system is perfect and needs no tweaking, then at least give your players a break and make the sound optional and switchable with an on/off option.
