Characters that get shot in the leg go on as if nothing happened, there's no liming animation or falling prone and they can still run at full speed.

I've had this happen to me as well. At least blood appeared on my legs after being shot at, but nothing happened. No groaning or anything
Yup, me and a friend tested the wounding/armor in multiplayer yesterday. He shot my legs, didn't break or anything... Kept shooting it until I died and respawned.
+1
Present since OFP dont know why BI didnt implemented it in arma 3
I would set the priority higher becourse its one of the most important elements of the health system
I agree, you can often shoot a man in the leg and he die from one or two shot.
The "Health system" / wound system should be enhanced so people do not die from such damages.. It is however okay to die from a wound if it is untreated for several minutes.

Hope something will still be done about this, it does make the game feel kinda arcade.
You shouldn't be able to (instantly) die from leg shots at all.
Instead, you should become injured (limping, unconsciousness, broken leg, crawling), and with more severe damage, quickly bleed to death.
Would increase gameplay value a lot.
