I was playing with my bro. and we both were connected to a server and we spawned in same house where we disconnected before. He raised his AK (with his right mouse button) on me and gun started shooting and killed me. Then he put his gun down. After few seconds he raised his gun again using his right mouse button and gun started shooting again.
I was sure that he was not holding his left mouse button.
I have not tested it, but I think that happens only sometimes.

Hi, I have experienced this issue again. This time I have it on video.
DayZ on stable version 1.07.152938, I was playing on official server: DayZ EU - DE 1297 (1st Person Only | Persistance ON).
I have started dayz, I had minimalized the game and went to desktop and started browsing web. Then I went in game selected my server and started connecting. It shows me 75 second timer so I went to desktop again to surf the web.
After few dozen seconds I had maximalized the game and I was waiting.

When I have joined I had binocular in hands and my character started looking through binoculars by itself - already strange.
I think that I cancelled looking through the binocular by my right mouse button and then I switched to my SG5-K (I pressed 1, gun was on hotbar).
I have raised my gun with right mouse button (I just raised gun, not looking down the sight) and gun started shooting by itself.
I have tried to raise gun few times and gun started shooting by itself every time.
Then I had switched to FNX and raised it but gun does not start shooting by itself.
I had switched again to SG5-K and raised gun and again it started shooting.
Next time I raised the gun and I think I also clicked LMB and gun didn't started shooting by itself this time.
I think game thinks mouse LMB state was all the time at "LMB DOWN" but I was not holding left mouse button.
I think this bug can happen to you with any gun that has full auto firing mode.
Edit: There are files from dayz folder from appdata directory.
I also can confirm this issue. Happens whenever you have just logged in, and then as a first action right-click an assault rifle in your hand. -> Start shooting unintended without left click.
Can bet you guys are selecting DayZ window by left-clicking in taskbar - always use Alt+Tab, it's been a thing since Arma times
