Lights are acting really crazy. Light something behind a wall and stand on the opposite side. If you turn away from the wall, the light will shine through the wall.
I've also had similar issues. Being next to a fire and it appears dark...turn around and theres light, but only in 1 direction.
@Radamantyz @VitdomHi, It is necessary to clarify - what type of fire reproduces the lighting is not right. I can confirm this for a fire in a barrel. When a fire in a barrel, and barrel to frame review (or close behind him) - the lighting of the fire is not working.
A fire on the earth "wood + paper" reproduces the light is good and it can be seen from a long distance.

I have not tested, and does not know how to play the light from other types of fire.
@Lex Light disappear at 100m+ already tested with, flashlight, Glow Sticks, road flare, Gas Lamp
2 screenshots taken from a same place, one while looking at a glowstick on the ground normally, and the second one while "zooming in" with eyes.
While "zooming in", light seems to disappear, can affect gameplay a lot during night time (happens with scopes too, in general any kind of zooming should cause it).
Hello Geez. Share information, is there work on solving problems with light sources?
This is a very relevant issue for a night game, players do not want to leave the servers at night, but this behavior of light causes a lot of negative emotions (((
Thank you for your attention.
Yes, it is very important to know! It bothers me that the players who use the light in the sight are lost. Do it in no time!
This is due to the fact that objects that emit light disappear from the network bubble. If you increase the bubble distance for objects, it works as expected (the light is visible). This is described here:
https://community.bistudio.com/wiki/DayZ:Server_Configuration
The parameter:
networkRangeNear = 150; // network bubble distance for spawn (despawn +10%) of near inventory items objects, set in meters, default value if not set is 150
Why 150? Objects that emit light should be drawn much further.
@Geez Can you ask the developer about this?
