More frame drops in 1.04
New, NormalPublic

Description

In 1.04, I’m getting more frame drops than I’ve had for a while, 1.03 was so much better, performance-wise.

It seems to be the same type of frame drops we always get when we enter another player’s network bubble.

I’m wondering if the network bubble was increased along with the gun shot range to 3.5km?

It would make sense why all the stutters, because with increased range, I’m bumping into even more player bubbles.

Explore Chernarus whilst other players are nearby (difficult for me to know exactly where they need to be - I assume around the edge of your network bubble). Dropped frames guaranteed.

Additional Information

I’ve selected ‘major’ because it’s certainly no small issue for me. Poor performance is incredibly annoying. Especially when it is meta-ing the fact that other players are nearby.

It’s only a short stutter, usually lasting no longer than a second, but was occurring a lot during my last playthrough. About 3/4 times a minute with my frame counter dropping as low as 1fps at one point.

Even if it’s only an issue my end, perhaps you can offer me some solutions?

I don't experience this. Are you playing DayZ from a HDD or SSD?
Does it help if you reduce your graphics settings?

Interesting. It’s running from SSD. I haven’t played around with graphics settings yet, but considering I was running the same settings in 1.03, it definitely points to a decrease in performance.

I’m not particularly technical though, so I have no idea how to improve it,

This appears to be the same issue as you are having T141646

Thank you. Will keep an eye on this.

@Geez Seems like an issue in 1.04 with lower performance for some people losing a lot of FPS? If it's due to the network bubble being increased and no way to fix, it's fine, but maybe you guys can find a solution>
