I find nothing wrong with the recoil on the AKM, even on full auto. Firing a firearm doesn't work the same way in ArmA/DayZ as it does in Call of Duty or Battlefield. The player must manually control the weapon's kickback.

I asked about your operating system architecture. Is it 32 bit or 64 bit? A 64 bit CPU is backwards compatible, so you may as well have a 32 bit OS for all I know.
Do you have a 32 bit system by any chance? Sounds like a RAM issue. Doesn't happen on 64 bit systems, from what I've discovered.
In real life - the PSO-1 telescopic sight comes issued with the SVD, for which it was specifically designed. It makes no sense for the sight to be on its own unless it was detached by someone else.
I've experienced such desync ever since the V3S was implemented.

Movement is done client side. The reason it's delayed is because that's how it works within the game engine. If you're not familiar with ArmA, which is considered a military simulator, then I'll tell you that the delay is intentional, to represent it closely to real life, as in real life you don't instantly accelerate. The reason I mentioned ArmA is because DayZ is related, and uses a heavily modified version of the ArmA 2 engine combined with some assets from the ArmA 3 engine.
Movement will be changed eventually for a fluid experience. The project is a work in progress.
Please upvote this if you consider this a serious issue. It makes leaning while crouched impossible at the moment.
I have managed to avoid this by unbinding my "Zoom out" button, and using my Mouse Button no.5 to Zoom In instead of Secondary.
Also, putting away the item you're holding before the animation completes will help avoid losing it. It's not only related to holding weapons, I tested it on bottles, too.
I'm glad it worked for you, deacon. I hope it stays that way.
