Are you sure you used the scroll wheel to select the right option, and not "Drink"?

I fixed my problem by reinstalling Steam. It's only worth it because this is the only game I want to play! haha And it's not even a game yet! lol

My problem is worse. I've posted 4 times in different ways over the last week, with no help, that my game loading is froze until I'm kicked out of every server I try. I get a loading screen, a list of people in the server, and it looks like it's about to load my guy, but it doesn't. It was fine the day before.

That sucks, though. I feel for you losing all your stuff. I had sweet guns and 200 rounds. But I would kiss a developer's feet if I could start with a new character.

He did. I tried all things suggested to me, including deleting all DayZ related files, and at last--reinstalling Steam is what fixed my problem. The last thing I was willing to do. My current character has a backpack in a backpack, for a few extra slots, but I won't overdo it again and risk the same.

this is probably a feature that will change and not a bug, so I'll close it to save you all the hassle.

Ask the friend if she/he remembers sliding. I was knocked out by a zombie and my body started sliding. I thought the zombie was dragging me. It was briefly stopped by a fence post, but then started again past the fence toward some houses, then it went black again. My friends tried stopping me, reviving me... nothing. I was ghosting. Sliding. They noted that the zombie was attacking a wall before they shot it.

I haven't been able to play for days. On startup, my guy loads with all his gear. I try logging in and no server is working, it times out and loses connection. In exiting i have the option to Config, Respawn, Exit. Respawn starts the time out connection cycle all over again. But I still have my old guy and all the gear every time I load the game. Wrote a report.

I think it happened to me too. Me and my friend figured this bag trick was a way to carry limitless items. He had what you described. I however have not been able to play at all since last session, 2 days ago. I simply time out when joining servers.

Not everyone is a programmer and knows the difference between "feature" and "bug" when encountering what should not be happening in gameplay. Just bare with us, or make a youtube video explaining the difference. I couldn't play my game for days, until I reinstalled Steam. I posted the problem everywhere, under different labels, because no one could help and the problem was ambiguous. Was it a bug or something else? I didn't know or care. But good on you for pointing it out.

I had a problem joining all servers. I would connect, see who's on, start to load, but time out with a black screen with "Please Wait" and "ready" after several minutes. Tried respawning before exiting, verifying files within Steam, tried changing my name and respawning new character, tried uninstalling and deleting all related files and reinstalling....

In the end, my last resort was to reinstall Steam--and that's what worked. :[
