Sounds like a perfect mod from the community. And yes, as you may have noticed one restriction of the alpha is ONLY ONE island. fyi: http://www.arma3.com/features/terrain
Thing is the most games, programmes and applications i know have this feature. It is clearly not a problem Windows invokes. Windows and ArmA1-3 can handle the usage of different than default output devices. And yes, i could switch the usb headset to default while the game is running -via alt+tab- but i have to switch it back when i terminate the programme etc. Hence i declared it as a "feature" (severity below low), hence comfortable. Im inclined to belive that this, lets call it "auto-switch function while the application is running"-feature, must be defined within in the application rather by windows. You can count the games, programmes and applications which cannot do this.
This tiny want from me is just a want not a need, and i declared it as such; since i do not play with headphones/headsets by default. It would be nice if more people would realize this difference and stop slagging everything they come across and is not their 'want' etc.
While i get your point it is written very unprofessional. We are here to make BI's job easier. This post in this style makes it harder for them to acquire your/the problem faster or in an adequate time and manner.
Also and as always: vsync is on by default. Disable it if you haven't already done so. HDR is a glutted performance muncher.
Why the GPU performance payload is in some games so ridiculus low and the game 's running poor at the same time seems to be a common problematic on out beloved platform. I think it's due to the fact of the sheer variety of available GPUs and system combinations- Lately i've played Deus EX:HR with exact the same problem and this game is far away from outgunning my system.
Since my ticket was closed down due to being a duplicate of this I'll vote it up fo' real! :D Also it seems the ppls here get the point I was trying to make easier. It's plainly annoying that in 2013/14 an application/game won't recognize an USB HS, while this is a common standard on Apple machines and even for some shitty console ports. Anyway, UPVOTE!
