Yeah, I'm not exactly a master scripter myself and I'd love to save time with an easy-to-use inventory editor.
Yes, that makes more sense. But I still think having some sort of interface would be easier than scripting, for those kinds of people who don't really know how to script but still want to make a fairly decent mission. Maybe an in-editor interface would work? That could also be used for unit inventories to make things a lot easier.
Yes, there could be some sort of inventory feature where you could store the attachments in a container or in your inventory and you could just drag them into a certain slot like you do with weapon attachments.
I've had something similar happen to me once. I was getting into an MH-9 and ordered my squad to do the same. They acknowledged my request but they just started crouching and standing up again over and over, like they were trying to hump the ground. I told them to regroup and then told them to get in the heli again, but they just did the same thing. I then got out of the heli, and when I did, the AI ran over to it and got in. The AI was, however, not under fire, and I ordered them to get in the heli, so it may be a completely different issue.
I would like this module, but I agree with stonestriker. There could be a module for filling bases, one for air traffic, one for car traffic, one for civilians walking, etc. It would be amazing to have this kind of stuff, you could make a completely dynamic mission without having to have a ton of modules placed around your map. However, the AI would have to cooperate with the rest of the mission. Take air traffic control for example. A plane couldn't just land if you placed one for your mission on the runway that was going to take off..
I would like this feature. It would be so much easier than controlling, like, 20 AI when you can just have your friend control half!

Up vote from me, I'd love to see this feature added.
