auto elevation fucntion simply missing and does not elevate the gun to the targeted range.
on side note, manual auto elevation increments change to 200 meters after 400 meters, making the are of effect unpredictable at 500, 700, 900, and 1100 meters.
Suppression effect that includes blured or reduced vision is not realistic or desired in this game, most of the time tracer roudns passing above your head are not going to cause any type of visual hinderance, however I do agree that there should be a supression system.
Most realistic way you can add a suppression system is to use basics of what suppression does in real life, it creates fear, and fear causes increase heart rate. We are talking about battle hardend soldier however but still when your heart is nearly beating out of your mouth you should not have the same capacity to hold your breath or clam your self to place perfectly well aimed shots downrange as when you are relaxed.
simply implemented in game when you are under sustained fire, you should no longer have the same capacity to hold your breath and your aim should be decreased to simulate your heart rate and focus.
it could be as simple as changing accuracy values in stances, i.e:
-if you are being suppressed while standing your accuracy and ability (amountof time) to hold your breath is reduced 25% of current value.
-if suppressed in crouch position your accuracy is changed to normal standing position accuracy.
-if supressed in prone position your accuracy is changed to that of the normal crouch position accuracy.
this is just a simple example/suggestion, I am sure the devs can come up with somthing better yet simple and effective to implement for the full release.
this should have a thousand upvotes Instantly, it would be the most amazing matchup for this game.
this issue is neither high priority or major severity, I understand its frustrating to shoot at a target and have your projectiles snag on invisible hitboxes, but keep in mind its extremly hard to create a 100% accurate custom hitbox for every object in a game let alone one of this magnitude. It will simply take too much time and effort and will cause severe load on the system to track all of them. usualy most objects in alpha use placeholder hitboxes that are similar to an objects geomatry like a box or a sphere or a phyramid, etc.
As the game becomes more developed there will be better hitboxes for the placholders and most of the issues will be resolved, but most likely you will run into hitboxes not matching the exact visuals in some objects.
"the solution is shrink all of the object/litter/decoration geometry hitboxes"
I agree, but that can also cause you to be getting shot or shoot through the corner of an object that you belive is solid or not open. It just takes time to polish these.
