I tried last night and my game would constantly go to desktop with the popup window saying battleye is trying to update.
It would constantly fail so I gave up on that. I reinstalled Dayz last night (as it wouldn't let me manually download the most recently Battleye) and ran it this afternoon. I could instantly get into the game and was able to run around for 5 minutes with no crashes until I closed the game manually.
The 'dayztest' file is a printscreen of the same box but with a different message I got today. I immediately was able to run the game after I tried reloading again. I also noticed while playing Men of War assault squad 2 last night that my steam would crash with that as well which led me to find a thread on the internet about 'Panda security' crashing steam bootstrapper (the problem i'm having).
Sorry for the long winded text box, but I think the problem might be with my anti-virus. I've tried turning it off & enabling gaming mode with no success on any game before, but someone said they had to uninstall Panda altogether to make Dayz work.
I'm still going to test it but I thought i'd update. I don't want to waste your time but I literally have no idea why i'm getting all these issues.
