Game will crash at random points of play.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

My game will have my screen freeze for a several seconds on occasion but most of the time I will crash, and the crash will take out my other running programs such as steam, teamspeak and chrome browsers.

The crash seems to happen faster when i'm attempting to play on bigger servers or when i'm running, although it happens at any point regardless of what i'm doing. {F31377} {F31378} {F31379}

It happens every time I play. Generally within 5 minutes to an hour.
I have very rarely been able to play for longer than 30 minutes with no issues, but it seems to happen on very small pop servers when I can.

Additional Information

I've spent a lot of free time attempting fixes i've found online and mostly through this bugfixer. I've ran out of ideas and am honestly very close to giving up.

If you can provide any insight i'll be very grateful.

Still having the same issue after trying several things including swapping to experimental, playing around with settings, re installing Dayz/Steam & much more.

It's driving me nuts.

Hello Evil_Penguin918 and thank you for the report.
Please run the game with -dologs parameter and attach contents of your appdata to this ticket (or upload it to some cloud site) again, as we require the additional crashlogs created by -dologs parameter. Take in mind that the -dologs parameter can cause issues on its own so once you have the needed crashlogs it is advised to remove the parameter again.

Geez

Whilst trying to do as you asked, my game would minimize and say attempt to update battleye. It kept coming up with failed to update etc etc.
I opened up all access on my firewall / anti-virus. Tried turning them off and got the same message. I updated my firmware & manually installing battleye but then I get the following error:
'C:\Users\EvilPenguin\AppData\Local\DayZ\tmp\__cur_mp.ebo'

I found this same error on another ticket and followed the instructions on there of deleting the Dayz folder & reacquiring the files but then the whole system goes into a loop.

After about a week of trying to get DayZ to work for my ticket's reasons this is the first time i've encountered any of this..

Hello Evil_Penguin918.
The 'C:\Users\EvilPenguin\AppData\Local\DayZ\tmp\__cur_mp.ebo' error is caused by using -dologs together with -newui parameter. If you are using -newui please remove it until the crash logs through -dologs are obtained. Once you have the crashlogs you can remove -dologs and keep using -newui again.

Geez

Ive only had -dologs on. But I'll try to patch when I get home from work.

Thanks for your patience and help, Geez

I tried last night and my game would constantly go to desktop with the popup window saying battleye is trying to update.

It would constantly fail so I gave up on that. I reinstalled Dayz last night (as it wouldn't let me manually download the most recently Battleye) and ran it this afternoon. I could instantly get into the game and was able to run around for 5 minutes with no crashes until I closed the game manually.

The 'dayztest' file is a printscreen of the same box but with a different message I got today. I immediately was able to run the game after I tried reloading again. I also noticed while playing Men of War assault squad 2 last night that my steam would crash with that as well which led me to find a thread on the internet about 'Panda security' crashing steam bootstrapper (the problem i'm having).

Sorry for the long winded text box, but I think the problem might be with my anti-virus. I've tried turning it off & enabling gaming mode with no success on any game before, but someone said they had to uninstall Panda altogether to make Dayz work.

I'm still going to test it but I thought i'd update. I don't want to waste your time but I literally have no idea why i'm getting all these issues.

Hello Evil_Penguin918.
According to the screenshot (dayztest.png) BattlEye detects some part of Asus AI Suite ii as harmful, turning it off should fix the issue. If you're still going to encounter similar issues we suggest you to contact BattlEye directly http://www.battleye.com/support/.

Geez
