I've had the same problem, yet mine teleports me to another area. Then the game doesnt respond to key or mouse inputs.

Also my internet connection is fine, and steam is still connected.

I have ran over an hour inland from the coast and I have not found a single item. No clothes NOTHING. Searched every inch of the buildings.
